Welcome Party: There will be drink tickets given to all who attend! Reception: There will be an open bar with liquor, wine and beer!
Out of respect for the holy communion and the sacredness of the sacrament of matrimony, we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone or camera to take photos throughout the ceremony. Aside from the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they will be specifically addressed within the invitation. Otherwise, we ask that only the named people in the invitation are in attendance. Thank you for understanding.
This is a black-tie optional event. For men, we ask that you please wear a tuxedo or black suit with tie. For women, we ask that you wear a formal long dress or elevated cocktail dress. We would love to see our guests in fall colors, specifically shades of red, or complementing colors such as black, browns, deep plums, muted greens, golds etc.
Short Answer: No! We don't want you to ruin your nice tuxedos and dresses so we recommend changing into shorter dresses/skirts/jeans/pants and comfier shoes if desired! One of the perks of staying either at the Eliza Jane or nearby is that you will be able to go back to your room to change prior to us heading to the bars. We will meet in the Eliza Jane lobby so we can all walk to the bars together!
On the day of our wedding, we will have a bus for everyone (bridal party, family and guests) to take us from the Eliza Jane Hotel to the Cathedral for the ceremony and back to the Eliza Jane for the reception. If you are not staying at the Eliza Jane you are welcome to meet there prior to the wedding to use the bus if desired. For all other events (or if you choose to not use the bus) we recommend walking or uber. We will be in close proximity (just a few blocks) of all event locations for the weekend and parking is extremely limited and expensive in the city.
