FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie formal.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Please see the schedule page of our website!

Question

How will I get from the ceremony to the reception area?

Answer

A few of our friends will wait outside of church to walk people to the Mayflower for cocktail hour. It's about a 10 minute walk between venues. You may also want to take a stroll around DuPont Circle or take some time to explore DC if you do not want to walk immediately over to the Mayflower.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Parking is very limited at the ceremony location; we suggest taking taxis and ride share. The hotel has a garage and valet. It may be helpful to park at the hotel before the ceremony and then walk to or take a ride share to the ceremony. This way your car will already be at the hotel.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 15-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the ceremony started as scheduled.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes your little ones are welcome.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, if you are in a relationship. When you RSVP, there will be a place to indicate that you are bringing a guest and whom you are bringing.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Please visit the travel tab on our website. There is a link to our room block at the reception hotel. There are also links to other hotels that are within walking distance of the Church of the Holy City and the Mayflower.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, absolutely!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes! Please note your dietary needs when you RSVP.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. However, we do ask that you respect the ceremony and do not take any photos during that very serious time.
