Restaurant: A French-inspired bistro from husband + wife duo and Per Se alums Daisy and Greg Ryan. A stand out restaurant in all of Santa Ynez Valley. Make your reservations early and you will not be disappointed. If you can't make it for dinner, the locals secret is they have just as good of a lunch menu. They rightfully earned their Michelin Star! This is Jenny's favorite restaurant in the area.
Restaurant: A fan-favorite around these parts. It's hard to tell which is best -- their food program, beverage program, or ambience. A true reflection of the farm-to-table movement. Jenny took Richard to celebrate their two year anniversary. This is Richard's favorite restaurant in the area.
Restaurant: The Bell's crew opened up Bar Le Cote as their seafood restaurant, and it lived up to the hype. Its a stylish seafood tavern located in quaint Los Olivos. Inspired by the daily catch of the Central Coast and the modern cuisine of Europe’s seaside capitals, it's approachable, but elegant.
Restaurant: Serving up amazing cocktails, pizza, pasta, and fish, this sister restaurant to S.Y. Kitchen does not disappoint. Settled in the heart of Los Olivos where you can grab a glass of wine before or after dinner at any of the wine shops that line the street.
Winery & Bar: An outdoor bar that focuses on natural wines, beer, and small goods. They have a small green house in the back that adds to the classic Santa Ynez ambiance. There's a small airbnb that sits on top of the bar that we stayed in the weekend we looked at wedding venues, so in addition to the great drinks and vibes, this place is filled with special memories.
Winery: The vibes here are amazing - and then just wait until you try the wine! This family ranch serves incredible light wines (red & white) and small bites, right across the street from a local farm stand. We enjoyed an afternoon here just the two of us, and it was the perfect way to experience all the valley has to offer.
Winery: One of the most popular wineries in the area for it's quality wine choices that can be enjoyed in a large grass patio setting while some play corn hole and others enjoy the sunshine. Another runner up wedding venue for us! We've been twice just the two of us, and once with a group of friends (all who loved it).
Shop: A home goods and clothing store that brings the elegance and roots of the Santa Ynez Valley together in a laid back and aesthetically pleasing fashion. When Richard walked in, his first words were "Jenny - this looks like your Pinterest board!" You may recognize a few things on our registry from here!
Activity: An opportunity to ride horseback through some of the most picturesque rolling hills you'll get the chance to experience. It doesn't hurt that you're met at the end of the ride with a glass of wine. One of the most special and memorable dates we've had was a horseback ride with Vino Vaqueros. So special that Richard almost took Jenny back to propose.
