Yes. Given the uncertainty of the COVID environment as well as how important it is to us that our friends and family stay safe throughout the weekend, we ask that all guests are fully vaccinated.
The welcome reception, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception will be entirely outdoors. The rehersal dinner and after party will be indoors or partially indoors. Guests will also all ride on shuttles together up to the venue.
As much as we would love to include everyone's plus ones, given the size of our families and community, as well as desire to have a wedding that feels intimate and with our closest people only, we can not accommodate everyone's plus ones. We have addressed envelopes to the specific people invited, and are including significant others only if the couple is married or we have a close friendship with them.
We are only including kids of family or of those who are in the wedding. Kids are of course welcome to stay with you during the weekend, but we ask that you do not bring them to the events unless they were included on the invite.
We encourage you to have access to a car for the weekend as the best way to get around Santa Ynez is to drive. There is also hired car and taxi service in the area for those of you who would like to take this approach. See contact information for a couple of alternatives here... We ask that all guests take shuttles up to our venue. Since the venue is a mile and a half behind a private gate, the only way to get there is on these shuttles. We promise there will be good music and good vibes! Extended family: At 1:45pm, family will meet at one of two hotels (Landsby and Hotel Corque) where the shuttles will take you up to our venue and we will have family photos before the ceremony. The Merritt and Johnston side will leave from The Landsby and the Harris and Smith side will leave from Hotel Corque. For non-family: At 2:35, meet at The Landsby where the shuttles will take you up to our venue. For those of you not staying at the Landsby, it is walkable from all hotels in downtown Solvang and there is parking in the neighborhood around the hotel. Email to come with more details on this.
