Flight
LA has quite a few airports! The closest options are LAX and Burbank. LAX is typically cheaper due to the sheer number of flights coming in and out, but it gets very congested (nine terminals!). There should be easy public transportation to and from Downtown LA in time for the wedding (thank you Los Angeles Olympics!). However, if you're looking for a more lowkey, easy travel experience, you can fly into Burbank for a bit more money and with less public transportation options. It's smaller and considered very easy.

The most classic of the hotels, the Omni offers comfort and convenience to many DTLA hotspots, like Grand Central Market and MOCA.
Hotel
Originally the Commercial Exchange Building, the Freehand is now a funky hotel with lots of cool restaurants and bars. Broken Shaker, the rooftop cocktail bar, is a small chain led by James Beard Award semi-finalists and was named "Best American Hotel Bar" by Tales of the Cocktail.
