Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jenny Savage and Jordan Pratt-Thatcher
We love Palm Springs and hope you will, too! If you're joining us for a mini-vacay or even just the weekend, here are a few of our favorite activities to enjoy in the desert:
La Quinta Resort & Club Actvities

La Quinta Resort & Club Actvities

49-499 Eisenhower Drive, La Quinta, CA 92253
, (760) 564-4111

With over 41 pools, five PGA West Golf Courses, several shops and restaurants, a variety of activities ranging from hiking and biking to yoga and tennis, as well as a state-of-the-art spa, we are confident you'll find plenty to do around the resort!

Palm Springs Mod Squad (Architecture Tours)

Palm Springs Mod Squad (Architecture Tours)

1800 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Palm Springs is famous for its mid-century modern architecture, designed by some of the most famous architects of the 20th Century. We highly recommend taking a guided (or self-guided) tour of some these beautiful neighborhoods, formerly home to members of the Rat Pack, Marilyn Monroe, Hollywood legends, several U.S. Presidents and more!

Golf

Golf

Palm Springs, CA 92264

Golf is synonymous with Palm Springs. With more than 100 golf courses in the area, including 5 at La Quinta Resort alone, you’re in for a treat if you enjoy the game.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (888) 515-8726

Take the Palm Springs tramway up 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains for a breathtaking view of the desert (and maybe even some snow!).

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park

Park Blvd, Joshua Tree, CA 92252

Joshua Tree and Joshua Tree National Park are just a quick drive from Palm Springs. If you have some time to kill and love National Parks, quirky desert towns and getting a little lost in the desert - we can't recommend this enough! Joshua Tree is Jenny and Jordan's favorite place to escape to on the weekends - take a day trip here to find out why!

Downtown Palm Springs

Downtown Palm Springs

Palm Springs, CA

Looking for a unique gift or sweet treat? Exploring the shops and restaurants Downtown Palm Springs is a great way to spend a couple of free hours! While Downtown, don't forget to stop at the "Walk of Stars" (think Hollywood's "Walk of Fame) to see the "stars" of celebrities that loved to call Palm Springs home (everyone from Elvis to Frank Sinatra).

Cabazon Dinosaurs - World's Biggest Dinosaurs

Cabazon Dinosaurs - World's Biggest Dinosaurs

50770 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230
, (951) 922-8700

These 100-ton Brontosaurus and T. Rex sculptures once beckoned motorists on their way to Palm Springs to a 24-hour diner and made a guest appearance in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure." Today, they are a fun photo-opp along the road to Palm Springs.

Moorten Botanical Garden

Moorten Botanical Garden

1701 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264
, (760) 327-6555

Are you a cactus lover? This is the place for you! The family-owned Moorten Botanical Garden dates back to the 1930's and features more than 3,000 specimens of desert plants!

Palm Springs Art Museum

Palm Springs Art Museum

101 North Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (760) 322-4800

Exhibitions often focus on the cultures and themes of the desert: Modernism, Native Americans and the American West.

Hiking

Hiking

Palm Springs, CA 92240

La Quinta and Palm Springs have several beautiful hiking trails to explore and with the great fall weather, there isn't a better time to experience the low desert by foot.

For all the days along the way
