-Day trip 1: Check out the cute little surf-town of Sayulita (which is about 20-25 min away) Sayulita has lots of cute restaurants, shops, and bars) 

-Day Trip 2: take a boat to the Marietas Islands (Islas Marietas) and check out the "Hidden Beach" aka Playa Escondida, Nayarit. Google "hidden beach at Islas Marietas" 

-Surf lessons are offered at the hotel (ask hotel concierge)

-Golf/tennis is nearby (inside the gates of Punta Mita - ask hotel concierge) 
-Deep sea fishing and possibly whale watching (if in season)
