Question

Do I have to stay at the W Punta de Mita?

Answer

We strongly encourage everyone to stay with us at the W (under our wedding block) because we want everyone to stay together! Plus, the rates are seriously discounted. (Furthermore, Jason and I are on the hook for all the remaining rooms in the block.) *If the block is full or you have any trouble booking your room through the link provided, please let us know ASAP https://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1652544106715&key=GRP

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by the end of February and don't forget to include your meal selection for the wedding

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Bering's and right here on Zola

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Thursday we plan to have a welcome toast/mezcal tasting at the main bar at the W hotel (exact time TBD) Friday we'll have our Rehearsal Dinner on the beach at the W Hotel (see schedule section)

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

March-April in Punta Mita is gorgeous! Expect 70's - 80's with a nice breeze in the early evening. Afternoons can be pretty warm. Little to no chance of rain

Question

Where is Punta de Mita?

Answer

Punta de Mita is located on the north end of Banderas Bay in the Mexican state of Nayarit, about 10 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Although the W Punta de Mita is only about 10 miles (30km) from the Puerto Vallarta Airport, it does take about 50 min to get there because the roads are not great.

Question

What's the best means of transportation to get to the W Hotel from the Puerto Vallarta airport?

Answer

Airport transportation can be booked through the W hotel (*although not cheap). Ubers are also available from the airport and are safe, reliable, and a much cheaper option. (Note* Ubers are not allowed to pick-up on airport property so you will be directed to cross a pedestrian walkway over the highway to the Uber-pickup area...it's a short walk from the airport baggage area) but people will direct you where to go.

Question

Do I need Pesos?

Answer

If you plan to leave the hotel, you may need pesos but most places will except credit cards and tipping in US dollars is acceptable as well.

Question

Is it safe? Are Covid Tests required upon entry or exit?

Answer

For those of you that haven't traveled to Mexico in a while, I want to reassure you that YES this area is quite safe! The taxi drivers are friendly, the hotel and wedding staff are wonderful and most people you will encounter speak English. At this time NO COVID TESTS ARE REQUIRED for any portion of this trip. Masks are not required. If anything changes, we will be updating the website.
