The Olympia Farmers Market
Great place to get some fresh Washington produce like mushrooms and cherries, meat/seafood if your staying somewhere with a kitchen, seeds, work from local artisans to include wood, metal, soap, jams, jellies, jewelry and more!
Downtown Olympia
Downtown is a great place to explore! We highly recommend you check out: Encore Teas and Chocolates: 116 5th Ave SE Great stop for some yummy treats to take home! Wicked Pies: 412 Franklin St SE Great thin crust pizza by the slice or you can order a whole pie! Artesian Well: 415 4th Avenue E. Bring your own bottle for ice cold, fresh, artesian water McMenamins Spar Cafe: 114 4th Ave E Jenny was here with friends when she realized her appendix might need to be removed! Compass Rose: 416 Capitol Way S Paper goods, decor, kitchen goods, and more! Downtown Olympia is full of restaurants, shops, galleries, and more! These are just a few of the places you should check out!
Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls
Great place for an easy walk. Lots of green space for a picnic! We've went on an early date here AND took our engagement photos here! There are lots of signs with info on the falls, salmon locks, and the old brewery.
New Sushi & Teriyaki
We went here early on when we started dating and it's one of our favorite places! Go get a bento box to try a bit of everything!
Spooner Berry Farms
Fresh berries grown right near our place in Olympia. Lots of stands throughout the area and even local grocery stores carry them. U-Pick isn't usually ready mid June, but at least make sure you grab some from a stand or the farmers market!
Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐
Awesome dumpling spot on the way down from the airport. This is the spot closest to Olympia. The other location is closer to Seattle, but is in an adorable open air mall if you want to make an afternoon of it!
University Village: Another Din Tai Fung
An adorable outdoor shopping plaza in Seattle. Also houses a Din Tai Fung dumpling restaurant which we highly recommend! Make an afternoon or even a day of it!
Insert Coin Olympia
We went on our 2nd date to Insert Coin in Centralia. This is where I learned that Cecil knows some Japanese and that we both love the arcade!
Great Wolf Lodge | Grand Mound
Head to Centralia (Where Cecil is from after growing up in Alaska!) and stay at a Great Wolf Lodge. Fun, indoor waterpark, and about 40 minutes from Olympia!
Space Needle
Get a great view of Seattle by taking a ride up to the top of the Space Needle!
