What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be a celebration of love, nature, and a bit of magic—a foresty rainbow extravaganza! Feel free to dress in whatever makes you feel wonderful, free, and comfortable. Think enchanted, colorful, whimsical… or simply you. Please note: there will be some walking along forest paths, so we kindly ask that you wear comfortable shoes—your feet will thank you!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Everyone who knows Jenny knows how much she loves your kiddos! Unfortunately we will only be having immediate families children (and any littles that are a part of the wedding!) in attendance. For out of Town guests, I am happy to help arrange childcare for the ceremony with recommendations from local friends! Kiddos are welcome at the welcome party for out of town guests on Thursday and rehearsal dinner on Friday, just make sure to RSVP!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Cecil and Jenny have chosen to celebrate their wedding without alcohol, for a variety of personal reasons. They’ll be offering a fun selection of mocktails, artisan waters, and other delicious beverages—alongside some amazing food! Please note: Washington State regulations do not permit self-serve alcohol, so we kindly ask that you leave flasks and personal beverages at home. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The best gift you can give us is attending our wedding! For many of you that's a pretty expensive gift due to travel! For those of you who can't help yourselves, we've set up an adventure fund to help us plan a honeymoon and other date night adventure! First on our list is an Oregon Coast Tour! Please try not to arrive more than 15-30 minutes before the wedding. We can't wait to see you, but we want to make sure the venue is prepared!

What's the venue like?

Answer

Our wedding will take place entirely outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of the forest! 🌲✨ From the ceremony to the reception and dancing, everything will unfold under the open sky. While we'll have tents just in case, we're hoping for sunshine and blue skies! You'll be walking along natural paths—grass, dirt, gravel, and flagstone—through a landscape filled with wildflowers, lush greenery, off-grid mini cabins, a cozy propane fire pit, and other rustic touches. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes—you’ll want to explore and enjoy it all with ease!

Can I bring a guest?

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend the events. Your invitation will be addressed specifically to those we’ve reserved seats for—this may include your name and your partner or family members, or it may indicate “and guest.” Due to limited seating, space, and catering arrangements, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests who are not on the list. Thank you so much for understanding!

Smoking Policy?

Answer

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in the designated seating area around the propane fire pit. Larkin Place is a beautiful forest setting, and fire safety is a top priority for both the venue owners and the bride and groom. We appreciate your help in keeping the area safe and enjoyable for everyone!

How do we find Larkin Place?

Answer

Please don’t use an internet search to find directions to Larkin Place, as it may lead you to the wrong location. For accurate arrival, please use the following address for parking: 318 Nisqually Cutoff Rd SE, Olympia, WA There will be parking attendants on site to guide you and help with any questions. Signage will also direct you from the parking area to the celebration space. Thank you!
