Things to Do

The Wedding Website of Jenny Muscat and Derek Christensen
We hope many of you will enjoy the local spots and recreational opportunities Big Sky has to offer while in town. Here are some of our favorite places and things to do.
Take a hike!

Take a hike!

Big Sky, MT 59716

Here are some of our favorite trails for anyone looking to get out and hit the trails. We do live in the mountains so expect elevation gain on all hikes. Also, be prepared and carry bear spray and hike in a group. The button below takes you to the website of a local company that rents bear spray. -Ousel Falls-Easy 1.6 mile scenic out-and-back hike just outside Town Center -Uplands Trail-Moderate 2-mile loop overlooking Town Center...this is where we got engaged! -Albino Lake-Easy to moderate 5-mile out-and-back hike up Taylor Fork south of town. -Lava Lake-Moderate to advanced 6-mile out-and-back scenic hike through the woods to a stunning lake north of Big Sky.

Try local brews

Try local brews

245 Town Center Avenue, Big Sky, MT 59716

Beehive Basin Brewery is one of our favorite local watering holes. We like to drink Green Bridge but try a flight while you're there.

Check out the Farmers Market

Check out the Farmers Market

33 Lone Peak Drive, Big Sky, MT 59716

Every Wednesday in Town Center there is a local farmers market. If you are in town on Wednesday, September 4 we recommend walking through the market. It is full of local vendors and it is a great place to grab some food on a Wednesday.

Catch a Free Concert

Catch a Free Concert

285 Simkins Drive, Big Sky, MT 59716

Every Thursday there is a free concert in Lenn Hill Park in the Town Center. Lots of local food trucks are there to grab dinner. We recommend bringing a chair or blankets for the lawn.

Hit the Links

Hit the Links

2100 Black Otter Road, Big Sky, MT 59716
, 406-995-5780

Play 9 or 18 at Big Sky Golf Course. Advanced tee times are recommended!

Explore Yellowstone

Explore Yellowstone

West Yellowstone, MT

If you are traveling in and have never been to Yellowstone, we highly recommend giving yourself an extra day to spend time in Yellowstone. Big Sky is only 45 minutes from the West entrance and it is well worth the drive! Get up early to beat the crowds and increase your chance of seeing wildlife. Plan on spending a full day in the Park whether you drive yourself or book a tour.

Have fun
