We met while working at the USC bookstore. We never worked the same shift but Jenna randomly switched shifts with another employee. Anyways, she was very excited when she saw 6 feet of OC magic and that signature head of perfectly swooped hair! We spent the 30 minutes our shifts overlapped talking about music and flirting our hearts out. After that, we wouldn’t see each other for a year. Zane studied abroad in Singapore, an experience which broadened his horizons, especially food-wise, prepping him for what would someday become a vegan girlfriend! After he returned home, Jenna again subbed for a random employee. Again, Zane was there. It was inventory and due to a faulty tag machine, there were many wasted price stickers. Jenna stuck them all to Zane’s back. And he said her name a lot while they flirted. Jenna had read in Cosmo magazine that if a boy said your name a lot, it meant this boy liked you. Thank you, Cosmo. What a reliable resource. He also remembered their entire convo from a year ago... probably a better clue. Jenna, being a demure personality messaged Zane the next week and asked if he missed her at the store. And he said he did and they should hangout. Jenna, being Jenna, suggested that night. She had no idea that her world was about to change. We hungout quite a bit and then, entirely unprompted, Zane asked Jenna to be his girlfriend. Over the past 6 years, we’ve gained two cats, one dog, a foosball table, a lot of decorative hand towels and a lot of amazing memories. We’ve traveled both around the US and internationally together. We’ve rearranged our living room enough to keep things interesting and when Zane proposed to Jenna with a ton of tea light candles in our apartment, he wanted to do it there because it’s where we’ve built a home together. We are so excited to share in our next chapter with you. And when you see your name on the invitation, it means we like you. Just ask Cosmo.
