Mother of the Bride
Where to start...my mom has seen it all; the good (and sometimes bad) ;). She coached my soccer teams for years, helped me limp through breakups, and ensured I landed on my feet at college. The list goes on and on; needless to say she helped mold me into the person I am today. Without her love and support I wouldn't be the caring and silly individual I am today...and without her planning expertise...there just wouldn't be a wedding at all. We're lucky to have her guiding hand through all this wedding stuff.
Mother of the Groom
My mom has always been there for me growing up. She has always looked out for me and had my best interest in mind. Growing up if I ever started having a 'pity party' my mom would tell me to stand back up, remind me that crying wasn't going to do anything about about it, and ask me what I am going to do now. She has always been a great sounding board that has been wise beyond her years, and has been the heart of our family that keeps us all together. Thank you for always being there for me.
Father of the Bride
My old man has been supporting my adventures from the start; whether being the loudest fan on the side of the soccer field, teaching me how to dirt-bike, or encouraging me to travel far and wide. From him I inherited the infamous "Roundtree glare" and a sense of independence to follow my own feet. His direction led me to countries abroad, jobs with weird offices, and ultimately to Simon (fun fact he was present the day we met). I'm glad to say he's happy to support my biggest adventure yet, marrying Simon. He'll be walking me down the aisle, drinking "Roundtree" Mules, and luckily, him and my mom will be footing the bill ;)
Father of the Groom
My Dad has been a huge inspiration for me growing up. While in my rebellious teenage years we never saw eye to eye. He instilled in me a caring manner and healthy work ethic. These days I can end up talking to my dad for hours on the phone about bicycles, cars, work, travel, skiing and anything that we might to geek out about. My Dad has been a huge supporter of mine as I took a pretty non-traditional path growing up and now I cannot spend enough time with him. Thank you for always supporting me.
Maid of Honor
Sister to the bride, gatekeeper to the often utilized closet jail, giver of white-washings to neighborhood bullies, and one beautiful and strong role model. We're proud to have Holly standing first in line and relieved to have her present to kick some ass if things don't go just right.
Best Man
Simon and Jack first met in a computer class in 8th grade. Both of them saw the other was playing the game 'lemmings' during class hours and were immediate friends. Jack has climbed across the country with Simon from Kentucky to Arizona. Jack is a brilliant, loyal and hilarious friend who has been a huge influence in Simon's life as the two have grown up together.
Bridesmaid
Kristen and I met on a climbing trip to the City of Rocks and became best friends after a weekend of re-telling Mitch Hedberg jokes and yelling "Err errrr errrrrrrrr!" across granite canyons. She's as wise as her hair is red and can turn your day around after some insightful thoughts in a quick phone call. She plays harder the most people I know and still makes time for an old friend getting married. I'm beyond stoked to have her as a bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Simon and Dugan first hung out in college playing Road Rash in Dugan's dorm room. The two immediately enjoyed each others company soon after became room mates. Dugan and Simon shared a house in Menomonie Wisconsin that was falling apart at the seams and had a tree growing out of the roof. Dugan has been an awesome influence with his ability to never fear taking on a risk or challenge, and his ability to spin every moment into a positive.
Bridesmaid
Make some time to chat with this one at the wedding. She can pull a joke out of thin air or turn your life into a satire before you finish your beer. She was there when Simon and I first started dating and has provided constant comic relief and has been a loyal friend through it all. Grateful to have her supporting us through this whole wedding thang.
Groomsman
Dan and Simon first met while Simon was in high school and Dan worked at County Cycles with Simon's sister, Alex. Dan later courted Alex and the two got married, joining the Jacobsens and Laceys forever. Dan is a huge hearted man that is always quick with a joke. You may recognize Dan from his thick mutton chops and the two adorable children following him around, Bjorn and Anders.
Flower Girl
This cute little bird will be dancing her way down the isle...or we'll be chasing her through the ceremony. Regardless, she's adorable and we can't wait for you to meet her.
Ring Bearer
This regal little man has a tough job to do, but we know he's up for the challenge. We have no fears about this one delivering the goods on time, while looking good doing it.
Officiant
Ryan has been around since 1st grade. From playing hacky sack in middle school to dressing up for Harry Potter, or getting tackled into shrubbery in downtown Boise...this guy has been a best friend to Jennifer and we are honored to have him present to make our union official.
