Jen spotted Markian and took a chance – she messaged him first. After the laborious process of initial “meeting” (write, wait…wait…wait, write back, wait some more – Markian admits he’s not the world’s fastest correspondent), things got rolling. And they’ve never stopped! From late-night chats about everything imaginable to globe-trotting (OK, Hawaii-trotting, with Vegas, NYC, Lake Michigan and a few other places thrown in), they’ve been rolling along, together, ever since! Fast forward…well, some years later. Jen chose the store, Markian got the ring, and here we are today! This took place, appropriately, during the most magical time of the year, Christmas, in one of the most romantical Christmas places on earth (at least, in J&M’s humble opinion), New York City! Markian has hung up his government hat (early retirement, anyone?) and is headed out to St. Louis, where Jen hails from (and lives today on) The Hill. The next chapter, they’ll write together, with charming doggie company -- Marty and Enzo, Hill residents through and through, look forward to having two humans for walks, ear scratches, and of course (a Hill essential) golf-cart rides.
