So.... What's the deal with COVID?

Answer

We have decided to downsize our wedding to 50 people in the interest of safety for all attendees. We are slowly but surely reaching out to all of our guests to let them know personally this update and we appreciate your patience with this process. We are hopeful to do a vow renewal at some point with all of our family and friends, but for the indeterminate future this will be our only ceremony

Will the ceremony be streamed?

We have not yet confirmed a streaming service for the day.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Ceremony: Formal or Semi-Formal Reception: Costumes are welcome! You are required to bring a mask :)

Is the ceremony, reception, etc. outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Weather permitting our entire ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors. Keep an eye on the weather and be prepared to bundle up for the late October chill. If it is raining (or per 2020 flaming snow) we will be in an open air tent.

Is there parking at Historic Shady Lane?

Answer

Yes! We ask that guests that plan to drink to please consider transportation plans. Cars left overnight at the venue MUST be off the property by 8a the next morning.

Instead of parking, is there a shuttle?

Answer

Yes! A shuttle will pick up guests from the Homewood Suites (200 Masonic Drive, York, PA 17406) at 3pm sharp and transport them to Historic Shady Lane. The post-ceremony shuttle will leave Historic Shady Lane at 10p. It will first stop at Homewood Suites for those who want to end their evening. It will then bring all guests who want to attend the afterparty to the AirBNB.

Tell me more about this after-party...

Answer

The after party will be at the AirBNB 450 Pinkerton Road, Mount Joy PA 17552. All guests are welcome to attend. While there will be a shuttle from the ceremony to the after-party all guests who are not staying at the AirBNB need to find their own transportation back to their hotel. There is a heated pool, yard games, and plenty of outdoors space.

Is there a brunch the next day?

Answer

Yes, there is! It will be held at 450 Pinkerton Road, Mount Joy 17552 be from 10a -12p. Everyone is welcome to drop in at anytime between 10a - 12p. Dress is casual and comfortable. We are renting tables so we can be outside.
