Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral
This beautiful basilica is worth a visit for seeing the woodwork inside and out. It is the largest wooden structure in South America.
Waterkant (River Boulevard)
The Waterkant is one of the most important streets of Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname. The street runs from the Independence Square parallel to the water on the left bank of the Suriname River. Also known as the city’s boardwalk with numerous restaurants with delicious food and where one can relax alongside the river, enjoy music and have fun.
The Independence Square
The Square is a must-see when you visit Paramaribo. Most of the city's attractions are around this Square. You can stroll along the river and the Dutch style buildings around this Square have some wonderful architecture. As a bonus, you will get to see the Presidential Palace which is surrounded by the Square.
