The Waterkant is one of the most important streets of Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname. The street runs from the Independence Square parallel to the water on the left bank of the Suriname River. Also known as the city’s boardwalk with numerous restaurants with delicious food and where one can relax alongside the river, enjoy music and have fun.
