Travel Note
Apple Maps will tell you to go through Lyons because it is the fastest. If you are looking for a scenic route and don't mind a slightly longer trip, here are some options: Loveland: Go further north and drive through the town of Loveland. Not only is there a Buc-ees on 125, but the drive on 34 to Estes Park from Loveland is breathtaking. We have seen all kinds of wildlife off of this road, including bears! Nederland: If you want to see a historic small mining town, drive through the town of Nederland! The Train Cars coffee shop is made from Buffalo Bill's real train cars and is worth a stop. This is also a nice drive but you do not have service for large portions.

The Stanley Hotel is known as one of the most haunted places in America! It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of interesting history outside of being haunted. A little pricey though.
