Estes Park

Estes Park

Estes Park, CO 80517

Colorado's original playground! This area has one of the largest concentrations of elk in the world. Walk around downtown and explore the historic buildings, grab a brew, and get the best caramel apple you've ever had!

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO

Heaven on Earth! This is our favorite place in the state to hike. Dream Lake, Lake Haiyaha, Alberta Falls, The Loch, etc are some of our favorite hikes. Drive to the top of Trail Ridge for one of the most incredible drives you will ever take!

Trail Ridge Road

Trail Ridge Road

Trail Ridge Road, Grand Lake, CO

Seriously, don't miss Trail Ridge Road. You can drive all the way through to Grand Lake which is another incredible mountain town to explore. Home of the largest natural lake in Colorado!

Alberta Falls

Alberta Falls

Estes Park, CO 80517

By far the most impressive waterfall in the park! It is a fairly easy 1.6 mile roundtrip hike. It will be at its peak during our trip from the snowmelt. We are considering planning a group hike here for anyone who is interested.

Estes Park Aerial Tramway Top Terminal

Estes Park Aerial Tramway Top Terminal

Have you ever ridden a mountain coaster? Now is your time! This is seriously such a fun experience that is suitable for anyone!

Stanley Hotel

Stanley Hotel

333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

A boujee hotel that is over 100 years old and known as one of the most haunted places in the country. Steven King wrote 'The Shining' after spending a single night here in the winter with his wife who both had intense paranormal experiences. It has also been the site for movies like "The Shining" and "Dumb and Dumber." They offer ghost and history tours that are very interesting! The hotel is worth exploring even if you aren't a paranormal fan.

Saint Malo’s Chapel on the Rock

Saint Malo’s Chapel on the Rock

10758 Colorado 7, Allenspark, CO 80510

On of the most breathtaking Churches you will ever see, it is nearly 100 years old with an incredible mountain backdrop. Pope John Paul II visited this church in 1993 and even hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park! Worth checking out even if you aren't Catholic. There's also a nice coffee shop here.

Coffee on the Rocks

Coffee on the Rocks

510 Moraine Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

The cutest coffee shop in Estes! Sipping coffee by their private pond is an incredible way to start your morning in the Rocky Mountains.

Nederland

Nederland

Nederland, CO 80466

Take a detour on the way to Estes Park and stop in the small historic mining town of Nederland! This is a quirky town full of adorable old hippies. The Train Cars coffee shop is Jenny's favorite coffee shop in the state, it is made entirely from Buffalo Bill's real train cars!
