The stars began to align long before we actually met, when Jenny was in residency in New Orleans and when Isaac moved to Atlanta and wanted to meet people. Through friends, both of us signed up to play adult kickball in our respective cities and enjoyed it enough to play for several seasons. Fast forward several years and Isaac changed jobs and moved out to Smyrna. Jenny had been in practice a couple years and bought a house in Smyrna as well. Jenny's neighbor, Amy, saw her in a kickball shirt one day and asked whether she played kickball and if she wanted to play on the team with Amy and her husband Kyle. Isaac had played with their team previously but wasn't supposed to play that season. However, his schedule had changed and he ended up filling in for the season for a player who didn't show up, allowing Jenny and Isaac to meet. When the kickball season ended and the cold weather rolled in, Isaac invited Jenny and several other kickballers to start playing trivia on the same day of the week we had played kickball, allowing us to get to know each other better and eventually for Isaac to ask Jenny out after trivia one night.

Isaac was able to pull off a surprise proposal, despite Jenny accidentally sabotaging his plans. We got engaged on our anniversary. Isaac wanted to take Jenny to one of the locations where they had gone for their first date, but she thought the weather was going to be too cold for TopGolf and vetoed the plan. Instead, he suggested they go out to dinner at a restaurant they had been meaning to try. After a great dinner, they headed back to downtown Smyrna to grab a drink at the kickball post-game bar. While reminiscing over the time they had known each other, Isaac asked if Jenny remembered the night when only the two of them had shown up after kickball and ended up hanging out and talking. He then told her, "That was when I first thought we had a chance" and got down on one knee.

We got married in a small ceremony on May 26, 2019 in Atlanta with our parents and siblings. However, we want to celebrate our marriage with all of you who have been a big part of our lives with a wedding party in New Orleans, LA on August 10, 2019.
