Jennifer and Grey met towards the end of 2015 on a dating app. Jennifer's favorite tv show at the time was Grey's Anatomy so she thought she would give this guy a try. They dated for about a year. As time went by, they stayed in touch and met again by chance in the summer of 2021. They both had recently ended other relationships that gave them a fresh perspective on each other. Their first date after reconnecting was at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and this time it was different with both of them realizing the other was THE ONE. A few months later, Grey's brother, Ethan died. As he leaned on Jenny for support, he realized how fortunate he was to have her and lucky for him, she felt the same way. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years after their initial meeting and they're finally getting married to the love of their lives!

Grey and Jenny love to brewery hop. So much so, that during Friendsgiving 2023, Grey started making plans with Jennifer's sister, Kaylen on how he would propose in the coming year. The plan for a brewery hop in the spring was in full swing. The date was set for Friday, April 5, 2024. As they started the day at Yancey, Jenny had no idea what would be waiting for her on their next stop at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, the location of their second first date. Their parents had reserved a private room, fully decorated with what could only be considered an engagement party. As they walked in, surrounded by family and their closest friends with Marry Me by Train playing in the background, Grey dropped to one knee and proposed!
