When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 1, 2025. You can RSVP on our website using the RSVP page or by sending an email to brownnewbywedding@hotmail.com

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Think cocktail dresses, dressy skirts or pantsuits, dress shirts with slacks, or suits with or without ties. Aim for something polished and celebratory, but not overly formal. No jeans, and no full-length gowns or tuxedos needed. Footwear tip: The venue has older cement and wooden steps at the entrance that are slightly steep — we recommend choosing comfortable shoes, especially if you’re wearing heels.

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space at the venue we are unfortunately unable to accommodate additional plus ones. Thank you for understanding.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Having you celebrate with us is the best gift we could possibly receive. If you would like to give us something for this next chapter of our lives together we currently have an online registry for gifts and a cash fund. The link to our online registry is on our Registry page.

What is on the menu?

Answer

We will have a selection of smoked brisket or chicken and sides for you to enjoy throughout the evening. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction will I be able to find something to eat at your event?

Answer

Absolutely! We have a few different items on the menu for the evening and we think everyone will be able to find foods that they will enjoy! Please reach out by emailing brownnewbywedding@hotmail.com if you have any concerns and we will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs.

What is the drink situation?

Answer

Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please aim to arrive by 6:15 PM to get seated before the ceremony begins. Due to the layout of the venue we will not be able to seat you if you arrive after the ceremony has started.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the Forest Carnegie Library Event Centre has parking available for you to use. There is a parking lot as well as street parking that can be utilized.

Is the venue fully accessible?

Answer

The Forest Carnegie Library Event Centre is a beautiful historic space, but please note: There are cement and wooden stairs at the entrance that may be difficult for guests with mobility concerns. Unfortunately, the venue does not have a ramp or elevator access. If you or someone in your party may need support getting inside, please let us know in advance so we can help make arrangements.
