King Umberto
New York is KNOWN our pizza but there are so many spot to chose from....where would you even start if you are from out of state? Well....we listed our favorite pizza spot here on Long Island! This pizza spot is well known and loved by many that even people from Suffolk county drive west just to get a slice! This spot is close to home for us and on the way to JFK airport so stop on by for either the pizzeria for the newly renovated restaurant. (tip: park across the street in the parking lot, its free!)
Trail View State Park
If you love to be "one with nature" and see the beauty Long Island has to give, check out the Trail that isn't too far from the venue!
Montauk Lighthouse Museum
We love visiting the lighthouse and spending time together on the beach! Check out this ICONIC spot if you have the time to travel a out east!
Long Beach Boardwalk
We love to spend time on the boardwalk just watching the waves crash in all types of weather! October isn't beach season on Long Island but that doesn't stop the Long Beach boardwalk from being busy and beautiful.
Long Island Aquarium
Long Island's only aquarium! It is a bit far from the venue but if you have time check out what the aquarium has to offer. FYI: There is also a great Turkish restaurant right next to it that we both just LOVE!
Fire Island Lighthouse
We just love soaking up the sun and climbing up the Fire Island Lighthouse even though we are both scared of heights. The Fire Island lighthouse is iconic and the view of the island from the top is unmatched!
Planting Fields Arboretum
Love natural and love history? The planting Fields is definitely the place for you to check out while you are on Long Island. You can roam around by yourself or book a private 90-minute tour!
Cradle of Aviation Museum
We went to a beer festival here back in 2017 and loved look at all the planes! If you are staying in Nassau County or heading back to JFK airport this museum is a must!
