Wedding Party

Charlie Fisher

Best Man

Charlie is one of Adam’s oldest and closest friends, having met while playing baseball at age nine. They became much closer as friends attending Haven Middle School and spent countless hours at each other’s house growing up. They continued their strong friendship post-high school despite attending different colleges and living in different cities (and most recently different countries).

Annie Berman

Matron of Honor

Annie is the oldest of the Berman sisters. Throughout adulthood Annie and Jennie’s relationship has evolved into an incredibly close bond. Not only do Jennie and Annie sound the same, but they also share the same sense of humor. Annie’s stories are so funny Jennie is often in a fit of laughter. They’ve also been lucky enough to share the wedding journey together, Annie will be tying the knot this July!

Josh Doo

Groomsman

With a sharp tongue and quick British wit, Josh is one of Adam’s oldest friends. They grew closer by hanging out with Charlie and by playing basketball, soccer, dodgeball and blind tag at Noyes Park. Adam loves Josh’s deep commitment to both faith and service, with Josh and his wife Danielle most recently serving as missionaries in China. But don’t be fooled, Josh always has a joke or funny comeback up his sleeve.

Kirsty Basch

Bridesmaid

There is no one more likeable or selfless than Kirsty. Kirsty and Jennie met at DePaul and lived together for 3 years - they even still refer to one another as roommates to others. As a wedding planner extraordinaire, Kirsty has been there for both Jennie and Adam every step of the wedding planning way. But for the day of, Jennie insists that Kirsty kick-back and let loose as one of Jennie’s besties, so if you see her, make sure she’s got a drink in her hand!

Mitch Kochanski

Groomsman

After meeting Mitch, one of the guys on this page asked innocently “Adam, how are you friends with such a cool guy?”Always happy to hang out, Adam would not have had any fun in college without Mitch, who could study less than Adam and still get better grades. Adam and Mitch were roommates for three years in college.

Ali Boyer

Bridesmaid

Ali and Jennie met at DePaul and were practically inseparable throughout college, they think of each other as their chosen soulmates. Since college, Ali and Jennie have remained close despite now being a 3.5-hour car ride away. Ali is an incredible listener and always up for anything. Whenever they are together it’s like no time has passed – and you better believe Ali will be the first one out on the dance floor!

Mark Lenz

Groomsman

Mark and Adam have been friends since junior year of high school when they had the last two classes of the day together. Later that summer, Mark first invited Adam to his house when Mark’s parents were painting their basement, which made for a perfectly organized nerf gun battle. While they never were able to replicate the experience, Adam and Mark have grown their friendship. Adam admires Mark’s commitment to educating and mentoring young people as a teacher on Chicago’s west side.

Caroline Randick

Bridesmaid

A true joy to be around, Caroline is one of Jennie’s closest confidants and former roommate. They met through Ali (another bridesmaid!) and became fast friends, finding commonality in their East Coast roots. Caroline always gives the best advice and is so much fun to be around – Jennie is so honored that Caroline will be standing by her side on the big day.

Jon Moberly

Groomsman

Adam met “Mobs” as a child when attending a mutual friend’s annual Super Bowl party, but became much closer years later through Mark. Mobs loves to travel to interesting places and appreciates a good flannel and book. Adam loves Mob’s chill demeanor, “that’s just how it is” mentality, slow eating cadence, and similar reading interests.

Samantha Green

Bridesmaid

Sam and Jennie met at sleepaway camp way back in middle school. They used to be in the “no-rides” group for camp excursions so they could eat snacks and giggle together instead of participating. They haven’t lived in the same state since high school but have managed to stay besties ever since – more sisters than friends! Sam is creative, fun, and easy to get along with. In between visiting one another between LA and Chicago, Jennie and Sam love to chat on the phone and text about workout and recipe tips! Jennie is so excited Sam will be coming from LA to stand by her side.

Ben Moeller

Groomsman

Ben and Adam were a model of bipartisanship living in a small overpriced bedroom in Washington D.C. Adam interned for the Democratic Senator from Iowa while Ben interned for Iowa’s Republican Senator. Adam and Ben quickly developed several inside jokes, including calling each other “fool” when starting to speak to each other. Adam later invited Ben to co-host his radio show. Ben and Adam became fast friends, sharing their love of American politics and what’s wrong with both sides of the political discourse. Adam is honored to be the godfather of Ben’s first born child Hugh.

Annie Minogue

Bridesmaid

Jennie and Annie were friends at DePaul but really became besties in the years after college – Annie is even married to one of Jennie’s closest high school buds, Sean. With a shared birthday month, Annie and Jennie love to celebrate their birthdays together and even hosted a Holiday Trolley for all their friends for many years. Annie is incredibly loyal and fun – you’ll never have a bad time being around Annie. Jennie is so grateful to Annie will be standing by her side to witness one of the best days of her life!

Josh Phillips

Groomsman

Adam and Josh met at a church youth group in middle school, but became closer friends in high school. Adam also became an active follower of Josh’s first band, the Dufrenes. Even after the Dufrenes split, Adam and Josh continued their musical journey together by playing together in the symphony orchestra. Adam felt blessed that he had a friend like Josh drive almost an hour from the city to take action shots of Adam proposing to Jennie.

Meredith Newman

Bridesmaid

Meredith is Adam’s sister by birth and Jennie’s friend by choice. Since meeting, Meredith and Jennie have bonded over their mutual love of silly Netflix shows and puzzle making on vacation. Meredith is an incredibly intelligent writer and so much fun to be around. Jennie is so excited to be gaining a sister and have Meredith stand by her side for the wedding.

Jon VanTreeck

Groomsman

Adam and Jon were soccer buddies on Team Evanston for several years and became close friends once they both moved on to Evanston High School. Jon’s free spirit complimented Adam’s neuroticism. Adam had the honor of visiting Jon in the small village of San Pablito, Ecuador and seeing Jon in his Peace Corps element for 12 days. Adam was also the most frequent viewer of Jon’s award-winning blog “So…How’s Ecuador?”. Jon and Adam still work on their Spanish, and discuss the intricacies of social work together.

Katherine Salley

Bridesmaid

Another friend from college, Jennie and Katherine are thick as thieves; Jennie even officiated Katherine’s wedding to one of Jennie’s closest high school friends, Svein, this past March. Katherine is so fun and generous – always thinking of others and planning their friend group’s trips. After having spent most of their twenties bar hopping and travelling, they now love to kick-back with a glass of wine and talk about their fur babies – how times have changed!

Shaina Berman

Junior Bridesmaid

Shaina is the 3rd oldest Berman sister. Jennie had the privilege of watching both of her little sisters grow up since all the Berman sisters live in Chicago. At only 14, Shaina is wise beyond her years – she travels all over the country competing in chess tournaments. She also loves to rock climb and play video games. One of Jennie’s favorite memories is teaching Shaina how to use chopsticks which she used to eat macaroni & cheese and hotdogs. Jennie is so excited Shaina will be participating in her wedding as a junior bridesmaid!

Rebecca Berman

Junior Bridesmaid

Rebecca is the youngest of the Berman sisters; Jennie was even lucky enough to be in the room when she was born. She is the kindest and funniest 12-year-old around, always beating everyone else at family game nights and cracking jokes. Jennie is so excited Rebecca will be one of her junior bridesmaids!
