Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are not able to expand our guest list out to include kiddos. This was an incredibly difficult decision, as we know this creates an accessibility barrier for some. Our sincere apologies if this impacts your chances of being able to attend, but due to cost, this was one of the compromises we had to make.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a "plus one" or friend along as my guest?

Answer

The paper invitation that was mailed to you includes the names of everyone in your household who's invited to the wedding. If the invitation reads "plus guest," you are permitted one guest. If there is no "plus guest" on your invitation, we unfortunately will not be able to accommodate additional members of your party.

What should I wear to each event?

Answer

Michael and jenn want you to wear whatever makes you feel the most like yourself at both the welcome dinner and wedding. For your information, the welcome dinner will be held at an indoor/outdoor setting, and the ceremony will take place at an outdoor, wooded venue. There will be heat lamps stationed throughout the ceremony grounds, as even in late May the Bay Area can get chilly in the evenings. Please plan accordingly!

What COVID safety precautions are you taking? How can I help?

Answer

jenn and Michael both take COVID very seriously, which is part of the reason they decided to have the wedding outdoors and in the Spring. Many of those attending will be folks experiencing disability or who are at higher risk. We value the safety of everyone present, and want to make this weekend as accessible and safe as we can. Though the ceremony and reception will both take place entirely outdoors (with the exception of restrooms), the welcome dinner will be hosted in a large indoor space with an outdoor option. We welcome and encourage mask-wearing at any indoor venue throughout the weekend, and are also asking that everyone who is able take a COVID test shortly before festivities. If you are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms that may indicate a COVID exposure, please stay home. You will certainly be missed. Because many guests will be traveling/flying to this event, we also ask that you limit (as much as is reasonable) unmasked contact with folks outside your household for two weeks prior to the wedding. We recognize that various opinions exist around COVID and masking, but we hope you will respect our wishes as hosts and understand that our aim is simply to make the wedding as safe as possible for everyone.

What sort of food will be served?

Answer

There will be all kinds of food served throughout the wedding weekend! Guests will enjoy Cuban food at the welcome dinner and seasonal selections prepared by the Wildwood Acres staff at the ceremony and reception, as well as a variety of desserts and a couple special surprises. All meals will be served buffet style and include both vegan and gluten-free options.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Near the end of May, the Bay Area is typically in the low to mid-70s during the day and the 50s at night. Our wedding venue is nestled in the foothills of Lafayette, so it will be cool in the evening. Plan accordingly!

Answer
