An easy walk through museum, would definitely plan on spending several hours here. They have many rotating exhibits. If you plan to come here, would recommend checking out what their featured exhibit is. They only sell a handful of tickets to it and many are worth the extra bucks!
Definitely the most unique museum in Boston. You'll feel like you're in an Italian villa, garden with fountains included! An incredible story behind this museum, including one of the most infamous art heists in history!
Interactive science museum! Mostly directed towards kids, but, it's still super cool to visit. The planetarium is worth the extra couple bucks!
If you want to see a game, definitely let Jenn know with a couple months notice! Otherwise, you can book a tour and learn the history of America's oldest ballpark.
Historic sites in Boston, shopping center, and food court. Just be warned- the food here is not the best, this area is a tourist trap...
Vintage market in the basement of artist studios!
It's 100% legal here! If you feel like imbibing during your visit, would recommend this dispensary. They have a wide selection to choose from and have a very knowledgeable staff.
If this is your first time in Boston ever or in a long time, this place is our #1 recommendation. This is a high end food court made up of a bunch of local stand alone restaurants. There's pizza, sushi, fried chicken, Mediterranean food, ramen, tacos, and sandwiches. There's also three bars- a wine bar, beer bar, and cocktail bar! If you go in the evening, it's 21+ and they usually have a DJ.
BEST INDIAN FOOD IN THE CITY! Also, a short walk from our house.
Awesome, and off the beaten path, fine dining restaurant. It's a set price for any 3 items on the menu. They rotate the items based on the season.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Boston's little Italy, The North End. Get the ravioli, trust us.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant outside of little Italy. Great cocktails too!
Our favorite taqueria in the city. Although, not entirely traditional faire. Their margaritas are incredible, though!
This place is cash only and real off the beaten path, but, it's a small dive with great cheeseburgers.
This place makes high end sandwiches that are worth the price you'll pay for them!
This place started as a food truck, then opened a store front a few years ago. They have AMAZING grilled cheeses, some traditional, others with unique ingredients added.
Nice and small brunch/lunch spot near the Boston Commons. They're known for their crepes and smoothies!
This place is a tapas restaurant directly next door to our venue. Another restaurant whose menu changes with the seasons. They do mandate proof of vaccination upon entry, so make sure you have those vaccine cards handy!
Great burger joint! They make a bunch of burger options and have some unique french fry options.
Best pizza in Boston. Jenn will fight anyone who disagrees with her.
An Irish pub turned gay bar right near Jenn and Markus' house. The food is incredible! Jenn recommends the steak, Markus recommends the salmon. They also have a great cocktail menu. If you get there late at night, they're a dance club, if the mood strikes you!
Ok, so, this place has great beer, but, they're super hard to find when you're following google maps directions. If you make it to a white warehouse, keep walking around it until you find it! They're known for their IPAs, but they also have a couple good lagers they serve as well.
Another great brewery! Try to sit at their roof top bar, it has amazing views of the city. Their tap list is rotating, but we haven't had a beer here we haven't enjoyed!
And another great brewery! This one is known mostly for their hazy IPAs and sours. Their food is also amazing!
For my beer nerds- GABF award winning beers! Also, get their nachos and thank us later.
Obviously the first bar we're listing is named after a David Bowie song. This a cute and small wine bar very close to our venue.
This bar has terrible service and subpar food, BUT, they have really unique cocktails. Ask to become a dungeon master, they have a 20 sided die that you roll, each side represents a different cocktail. Some are good, some are interesting, some are spicy. You've been warned.
This place is hard to find, but, that's the point. This is a speakeasy right near South Station. Once you find the alley way, there's a black door with a small sign with a phone number on it, just call the number and someone will open the door! Sounds sketchy, but their real unique cocktails are worth it.
This cocktail bar is also hard to find. If you follow google maps, walk in the door it brings you to, then go down the flight of stairs. They don't have a drink menu, you just need to tell the mixologists what you like and they'll concoct something for you!
This is another speakasy. This place you need to walk through the walk-in cooler at Roxy's Grilled Cheese. This is a barcade, so, it's full of arcade games, crazy cocktails served in nerdy glassware, and they always have some sort of sci-fi movie playing from the 80's or 90's.
We really love our speakeasys here... Another one! This one is in the back of a pizza place. Reservations are mandatory, that's how you get the secret password to get in. Their drinks are all very unique in flavors and presentation. Markus' favorite is served in a treasure chest. They're food is pricey, but everything on the menu is worth it.
Reservations are a must... if you can get them. This is where we got engaged. It's a 9 seat speakeasy cocktail bar. This is for the ambitious visitor, since it's TOUGH to get seats here.
Delicious cookies! A lot of unique flavors too.
You'll enjoy cake from here at the wedding, but their shop is super cute and they offer a lot of great desserts/breakfast/coffee.
