We met the new-fashioned way...online. Our first emails to each other before we met in person consisted of discussing important insights about our background, careers, values and of course our shared love of music. We significantly noted and both agreed that Tom Petty was one of the most influential musicians of all time and that he was our all-time favorite musician. We knew we had hit the cool-factor jackpot! The moment that we uncovered that key common-thread we also knew we would share a special and hard-to-find bond. So we decided to meet up for dinner and drinks and the rest was history! Our first date was at Kimball House restaurant in Decatur, Georgia. We sat and talked for hours and both left knowing that we had met someone special. Tom Petty's song 'A Thing About You' pretty much sums it up... I'm not much on mystery Yeah you got to be careful what you dream I thought this might pass with time Yeah I thought I was satisfied But oh baby let me tell you, I got a thing about you Baby let me tell you, I got a thing about you It don't matter what you say It don't matter what you do I, I, I, got a thing about you
Edwards, Colorado Mark grew up in Colorado so it holds a special place in his heart. I am a romantic at heart and always imagined that my dream guy would propose in a romantic setting, such as on a horse ride through Central Park or on a mountain top. Without even knowing my idyllic thoughts, Mark managed to combine both the mountain top and the horse ride in he most magical way. Thanks to a horse named Wyatt and the most beautiful Winter backdrop, Mark proposed on Valentine's Day in a horse-drawn sleigh. There could not have been a more romantic moment!
