Travel Note
1) Currently, there are no direct flights to Budapest however, please try to shop around and book your flights in advance to lock down an itinerary that requires 1 layover only (there are a good few!). 2) We recommend that you arrive by Thursday, October 26th (the latest) so that you can get acclimated and adjusted to the time change. We will also be preparing a *pre-wedding* social event and you won't want to miss it! 3) In Hungary, the currency used is the ✨Forint✨. Unless you prefer to pay in cash, most restaurants, hotels and businesses accept credit cards and Apple Pay.
Rental Car
In Budapest, Bolt is the equivalent of Uber/Lyft. It's very inexpensive and safe. We recommend that you download the Bolt app, in case you need!
Train
Fares: Single tickets costs around $1 USD (can't change train lines). Travel passes are also available for 24 hours ($5), 72 hours ($12), or a week ($14).
Hotel
The Hilton, located in the Buda Castile District, is where the reception will be held. It's a lovely hotel that overlooks the Danube River and provides amazing views of Budapest however, it is somewhat disconnected from the rest of the city. For that reason, we don't recommend that you stay at the Hilton for the entirety of your stay. If you plan on staying at the Hilton around the time of our wedding, please email WEDDING@HILTON.COM for room block pricing!
