Things To Do

Széchenyi Thermal Bath

Széchenyi Thermal Bath

9-11 Állatkerti körút, Budapest, 1146, Hungary

If you are able to, we highly recommend making a visit to Budapest's most popular thermal bath! It has indoor and outdoor pools, with varying temperatures. The water comes from natural thermal springs and it's said to be very good for the body. #selfcareday

St. Stephen's Basilica

St. Stephen's Basilica

1 Szent István tér, Budapest, 1051, Hungary

To us, this is the center of the city. The basilica's interior is beautiful and a must-see. To add, we highly recommend that you make it up to the rooftop which will give you gorgeous panoramic views of the city (bundle ticket should cost around $13 USD). Lots of nice restaurants nearby, which is a bonus. Our favorite is BESTIA!

Margaret Island

Margaret Island

Budapest, 1138, Hungary

One of our favorite places ever! We always make an effort to visit at least once each time we visit Hungary. It's a park on an island in the Danube, between Buda and Pest. There's also a runner's loop that traces the perimeter of the island and is around 5 kilometers! Can be accessed by foot. Must visit.

Buda Castle

Buda Castle

2 Szent György tér, Budapest, 1014, Hungary

Part of the Castle District and a historical royal residence of Hungarian Kings- also houses the Hungarian National Gallery (more details below)! Beautiful architecture, gardens and views of Budapest and the Danube :)

Hungarian National Gallery

2 Szent György tér, Budapest, 1014, Hungary

If you enjoy museums and want to see Hungarian art, check this place out. Tickets are around $10USD and can be purchased online.

Ruin Bars Budapest

Ruin Bars Budapest

Kazinczy utca, Budapest, 1075, Hungary

These are a collection of bars that were converted from old apartments and warehouses, located primarily in the Jewish District! We recommend going to... 1) Szimpla Kert 2) Instant & Fogas Ház Call/Text us and we'll meet you there!

Central Market Hall

Central Market Hall

1-3 Vámház körút, Budapest, 1093, Hungary

Must visit. Yes, it's mostly filled with tourists, but we highly recommend it! This is a huge market where you will find fresh produce, sausage/paprika vendors as well as delicious Hungarian food such as goulash, chicken paprikash and lángos!

Dohány Street Synagogue

Dohány Street Synagogue

2 Dohány utca, Budapest, 1074, Hungary

Also known as the Great Synagogue, this synagogue is the largest synagogue in Europe! The architecture is breathtaking, inside and out, and we highly recommend that you make a visit!
