We expect most guests to arrive on the 5th and leave on the 7th, BUT Beaver Creek will have fireworks and lots of extra fun things to do for July 4th. We hope that our guests will use our wedding as an excuse to plan a long weekend away enjoying the splendor of the mountains.
We LOVE your kids! We do. We also want this weekend to be a getaway for our guests. That means a Mom and Dad night out/off! If you will be traveling with your children for the weekend, we will gladly provide childcare so that you can have an uninterrupted evening of celebration with us! The ceremony and reception will be child-free. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can help.
We are so glad you asked! After flying into Denver, we suggest renting a car and driving to Beaver Creek. It is roughly a one and a half hour (very scenic and gorgeous) drive to the resort. If you would rather not drive, please check out our Travel page for a link to a shuttle service to and from the airport.
The hotels we have provided links to are all ON Beaver Creek Property. The condos are not, but are very close. We would love for you to stay ON property so that you can take advantage of the free shuttle service provided. However, if you do stay off property, you can easily drive to the resort and follow signs for parking. There may be an additional cost for parking in certain areas of the resort.
Don't worry! We have traveled to plenty of weddings solo, and we know how hard it can be. If you are flying in alone and are interested in finding a rental car/hotel room buddy, first of all THANK YOU, second of all, please let us know and we will make sure to connect you with some of the coolest people you will ever meet.
ABSOLUTELY. We plan on celebrating every single chance we get. We will be having small celebrations in Orlando, New York City, and Virginia so that we can celebrate with every single person we love. Of course we want to have you with us in Colorado, but if that is not possible, we WILL have other opportunities to celebrate together.
Truth is anyone can suffer from altitude sickness. Any age! Doctors suggest coming out a day or so early to allow your body to acclimate to the change in altitude. Also, water is your friend! Drink up. And finally, if you are worried, you can always call your doctor and ask them to prescribe you Diamox (which works as a great preventative measure for altitude sickness). Remember, for the majority of the weekend and wedding day we will be at about 8,000 feet. We will only be at 10,000 feet for about 1.5 hours for the actual wedding ceremony!
