Jennafer and Zach met December 17th of 2016 at a mutual friend, Betsy Bourne's, Christmas party. He recognized her from the church they both attended, Mosaic at WDW, but she had no clue who he was other than a really well dressed, handsome man. A bunch of people were playing a game (Catch Phrase) and Zach and Jennafer both made the same (incorrect) guess at the same time. The word was aardvark (what even is that) and Jennafer and Zach were both yelling "anteater!" while making a trunk with their arms. They were each other’s specific kind of weird. They were friends for over a year, catching up when they could, although rarely. They started dating officially on April 1st, Easter Sunday, in 2018 about 6 months after Jennafer moved back to New York City. Zach was still in Orlando. They know, great timing. On one of their first “outings” in February before they started dating, Zach told Jennafer it would take an act of God for him to live in NYC. Nine months later Zach moved to New York to be with Jennafer and continue their adventures.

Zach knew that two things mattered most to Jennafer - people and sunsets. So he booked a private sailboat in Saint Augustine on Christmas Eve and secretly invited many of their close friends. Many of you know that Jennafer is basically a private investigator when it comes to surprises, so it was no easy task to keep all of this from her. Their time on the sailboat was beautiful. The sun was setting, the water was glowing, there were dolphins, they prayed together. It was amazing. It was also kind of awkward. Zach was hiding a ring box in his jacket (nobody tells you how big ring boxes are) in a pretty obvious way, they were sitting across a glorified net that Zach was paranoid the ring would fall through. It felt like a mix between a hallmark movie and real life. They got off the boat and made their way back to the car. Jennafer thought they were going back to Orlando but the night wasn't over! Zach took her to the town center where their friends and family were anxiously waiting. Zach took Jennafer towards the town center filled with crowds of people and she suddenly saw her parents and all of their wonderful friends cheering and shouting. Tears. She never thought people would come all the way to Saint Augustine on Christmas Eve to celebrate her and Zach. They drove back to Orlando and celebrated with another large part of their community at the Christmas Eve service at Mosaic. Fun fact: Zach wanted to propose to Jennafer in September, but after learning about Jennafer's eclectic taste in rings he had to push his plans back until December. She makes no apologies for her taste or this delay.
