Semi-Formal/Cocktail — The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie/a sports coat, or button down and slacks. Still not sure? Here’s a link on how we determined semi formal: https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained
Arizona weather can be tricky but we anticipate weather between 80s-to low 90s and sunny!
Our ceremony will be outdoors (shaded) and the reception will be indoors with air conditioning!
The venue that won our hearts is The Valley Garden Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures in the garden for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages, and have some games to play in the courtyard!
We do not have a theme, but the colors are forrest green with accents of gold!
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
The Valley Garden Center has a parking lot at no cost to guests, and an agreement that allows guests to park on the streets of nearby neighborhoods!
We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes to an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
Yes! We actually included kiddos in the guest count, so if there are more to be aware of in your party please let us know ASAP! *Children must be supervised during the entirety of the wedding as there is an unfenced koi fish pond in the garden.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation
The deadline to RSVP will be September 1st. You can do it online or through the mail!
Yes!
Drinks: Yes! We will have water and a secondary beverage, along with a champagne toast later on. Unfortunately, we will not have an open bar due to budget and other circumstances. Food: we will be having pizza from a local New York style wood fire pizza restaurant along with a side salad.
Unfortunately, no. We will have appetizer boards during the cocktail hour where you’ll be able to find an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, and crackers.
Unfortunately, the answer is no. We will be renting several of our decorations and will need to return them in the full amount and good condition.
As we are on a tight budget there will not be an open bar. And due to local regulations and fees, we are not able to have alcohol brought on the premises outside of that which we use for our champagne toast.
We ask that people join us for an unplugged ceremony (phone out of sight I.e. pocket or purse), but we’ll be available for photos after the ceremony!
