The Muse Coffee Company
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN! From the 13th to the 19th of May 2022, two worn out Global Studies GSAs took up temporary residence in this wonderful little coffee shop to grade frantically before final grades were due... and now we love each other and are getting married! We hope you have as great and life-changing an experience at the Muse as we did!
Koffee Kup
This place is probably the best place to experience local Lynchburg. Serving up classic Southern staples for who knows how long, this is one of our favorite breakfast date spots.
Blackwater Creek Natural Area
One of our favorite spots for a lovely stroll or a lung-busting jog along the James River, through a tunnel and so much more. We love <3
Chelsity's Steak, Seafood and more... LLC
This is one of our very favorite food trucks anywhere, not just in Lynchburg! Jojo and Cecille serve up phenomenal sandwiches, steaks, seafood, Filipino food, burritos, the best burgers in town and much more for very reasonable prices. For any of you Californians missing home, ask for your burger Animal Style, or get an order of Tri-Tip that'll make you cry.
Pho Saigon Palace
Our first date (kind of) was here, paid for by the one and only Becca Lafferty as a token of appreciation to Josiah for helping Jenna with grading. Thank you Becca! We basically eat here weekly, and especially recommend the vermicelli bowls, vegetarian pho and the spicy beef soup... but get whatever you want, it's all phonomenal!
Delicia's Latin American Restaurant & Carry Out
One of our favorite spots, recommended initially by groomsman Sam Rodriguez, this El Salvadorian restaurant and market is always a delight! Try the Marañon (cashew apple juice), one of Jenna's very favorite drinks the Burg has to offer!
Tacos Locos
Many a skeptical Californian has left Tacos Locos utterly stunned by the fact that they just had Mexican food on par with the Left Coast. Come to this yellow beauty of a food truck, revered by LU students, for the best Burritos, Tacos and Quesadillas Lynchburg (and quite possibly Virginia) has to offer. Pro tip: their shrimp burrito is insane, and it's not on the menu.
Rivermont Pizza
One of our favorite pizza places, come enjoy their creative selection of Pizzas, appetizers and more!
Benny Scarpetta's
The Pizza at our reception is from Bennys. 28" Pizza, need I say more?
Waffle House
Lynchburg has several Waffle Houses, all of which have their strengths, but only one is a true Waffle Home <3 Many a date night has concluded at the Forest Road Waffle House. The fact that it's the furthest one from where either of us live should tell you just how much we love this place.
Mister Goodies
Probably Lynchburg's most iconic ice cream spot, with a very special place in Josiah's heart and larger than life sizes of great soft serve! Open late, follow them on Instagram to learn about their flavors of the week!
Outside the Cone
Mister Goodies may have the soft serve, but for the best homemade, hand scooped ice cream anywhere (literally, they've won national awards for their craft), look no further than Outside the Cone. We love them so much, we asked them to do the ice cream at our reception. You're welcome.
