What measures are being taken to prevent the spread of covid-19 at the wedding?

Answer

The city of Chicago has a vaccine requirement in place for all individuals over age five in all entertainment and restaurant spaces. For the safety of the bride, groom, guests, and vendors, we will be abiding by this policy at all venues and request that all guests be fully vaccinated, boosted, and take a covid-19 test within 48 hours prior to joining the celebrations and have a negative result. Should any guest not be able to meet these requirements to prevent the spread of covid-19 among our loved ones, we respectfully accept your decline.

Answer

Yes we did! Darn pandemic. But we want to get married in the Catholic Church and spend a night celebrating with you.

Due to space constraints at the Library, we are not able to give everyone a +1. Please check your invitation to see whether a guest can accompany you.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are so many hotels around the Chicagoland area. We have booked two hotel blocks at the W - City Center and the Residence Inn Chicago Downtown. Each of these hotels is walking distance from the Library, and has fantastic rates for our wedding guests! There will also be transportation from these hotels to the ceremony church and back if needed. Please see the "Travel" page to check how to book a room. However, feel free to stay wherever you wish (our hotel block, another hotel, AirBnB, a friend's couch).

How do I enter the library after hours for the reception?

Answer

Please use the entrance at 401 S Plymouth Ct which will be open. (The State St entrance will be closed!) Then take the elevators up to the 9th floor to join us for cocktails and the reception in the Winter Garden.
