As many modern couples do, Brandon and Jenna met after matching on a dating app. At Brandon's suggestion, they joined at Torchy's Tacos for their first date. Dinner went great and tacos turned into frozen yogurt at a nearby shop, which turned into drinks at a bar across the way. Jenna had to cut the night short to meet her girlfriends out at the dancehall, but as she sat on a high stool watching couples dance in the neon light she felt that something seismic had shifted. Indeed, she had just met the man who would become her husband.
It was the night after New Year's Eve and they were in New Orleans. Jenna and Brandon had rejoined their group of friends in the French Quarter after having a lovely meal at their favorite restaurant, August. They were standing in Jackson Square with the illuminated facade of the St. Louis Cathedral in front of them and the dark running waters of the Mississippi River behind. At Brandon's friend Adam's suggestion, they walked up to the large Christmas tree decorated in red and white lights that still adorned the square to get a photo together. As they stood and smiled for the camera, Brandon turned to Jenna, got down on one knee and proposed! They were both so nervous that Jenna doesn't remember what Brandon said and he doesn't either! Luckily, they had friends there to catch the moment.
