Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
Recommended activities at Sleeping Bear Dunes: - Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive - Sleeping Bear Dune Climb - Empire Bluff Hike (easy trail that winds through the forest and ends with great views of Lake Michigan and the sand dunes) - Pyramid Point Hike (short, uphill hike that ends with sweeping views of Lake Michigan) Don't forget to check out the town of Glen Arbor while you're here and stop at the original Cherry Republic for every cherry item you could imagine! Please note that entrance passes are required to access most areas of the park. They can be purchased at the visitor's center on your way in.
Clinch Park
Centrally located park in downtown Traverse City along the Grand Traverse Bay. The park offers a public beach, beach volleyball courts, and concessions. Kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes can also be rented right at the park.
Biking in Traverse City
Rent bikes/e-bikes at Paddle TC in Clinch Park and take a scenic ride up the Leelanau Bike Trail towards Suttons Bay or head south and enjoy a quiet loop around Boardman Lake. Looking for more detailed routes? Ben and Jenna are happy to help!
