Things To Do

If you're new to Brooklyn or haven't visited in a while, you're in for a treat. We live near some choice places including famous breweries, museums, and parks.
Other Half Brewing Company

Other Half Brewing Company

195 Centre Street, Carroll Gardens, NY 11231
, (917) 765-6107

Jen's brother Matt's favorite brews. Don't let the crowds deter you - it's worth it.

Kings County Distillery

Kings County Distillery

299 Sands Street, Brooklyn, NY 11205
, (347) 689-4211

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest, largest, and premier whiskey distillery, the first since prohibition. We went on a tour here a couple years ago and still talk about the delicious tasting.

Colson Patisserie

Colson Patisserie

374 9th Street, Park Slope, NY 11215

The best pastries in town happen to be right by our apartment. Go on a jog or bike ride around Prospect Park and then end with a brioche!

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park

334 Furman Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

We know this is cliché, but it’s a must see with spectacular views of Manhattan. A great walk or bike ride for a sunny Fall day.

Prospect Park

Prospect Park

Brooklyn, NY 11225

Jen and friends run the 3.5 mile loop of the park all the time. Saturdays feature a fabulous farmers market and Sundays house Smorgasburg.

Brooklyn Museum

Brooklyn Museum

200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238

At 560,000 square feet, the museum is New York City's third largest in physical size and holds an art collection with roughly 1.5 million works.

Industry City

Industry City

274 36th Street, Sunset Park, NY 11232

We're not sure how to describe a place that literally has six buildings filled with everything from a flea market, artist studios, food hall, Japanese Village, Vodka distillery, sunset yoga classes and tons of boutique shopping. You'll just have to check it out yourself.

Brooklyn Academy of Music

Brooklyn Academy of Music

30 Lafayette Avenue, Fort Greene, NY 11217

The Brooklyn Academy of Music is a performing arts venue in Brooklyn, New York City, known as a center for progressive and avant garde performances. If you're staying for the full weekend, you might want to check out a show!
