Stroll down Beacon's Main St., one of the cutest towns in the Hudson Valley. Here you can find: - Food and drink: There's 3 different donut shops which you know is a good sign. Check out this guide: https://www.alittlebeaconblog.com/restaurant-guide - Cute shops: it's endless in the best way. Clothes, home goods, vintage items, records, candles, books; you name it, they have it. Favorites include Scarborough Fare with olive oil and vinegar tastings or Hudson Glass Company with glass blowing demos and classes! Check out this guide: https://www.alittlebeaconblog.com/shopping-guide - Museum: Dia Beacon - View: Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park There's so much to do here, we hope you love it as much as we do. We also hope you don't get distracted and show up late for our wedding! Fun fact: previously known as "the hat making capital of the US" in the 1800s with over 50 factories at that time. Felt was the most popular style. Now, they unironically sell Carhart beanies.
This is a moderate-hard 3.5-4 mile loop trail hike. Ok to park at Bear Mountain Inn. Fun fact: Redli grew up grilling at the lake here in Harriman State Park with his family. He also caught his first fish here!
A fun 3.7 miles hike, difficulty accurately rated as hard. Good view of NYC skyline on a clear day. Fun Fact: Acts as a gateway hike for most Manhattanites. Those who make the trek either end up craving those upstate weekends for the rest of their NYC stint, or they chose to take the hike on the first 70 degree day of Spring, waited in line up to an hour to climb up some rocks, and now describe themselves as "city people" who reminisce about their one and only NY hike during a weekly bottomless brunch.
Large outdoor sculpture museum - over 300 acres. On our bucket list!
The following are within walking distance from the hotels Pharmacy Kitchen and Bar Limoncello Delancey's Angelita's Mexican Kitchen More to come.
Again, if you're late to our wedding...
