Yes, it's on!! We do, however, plan to follow all state and federal guidelines that are in place at the time. Local venue owners are working closely with the governor's office to develop safe wedding restrictions, and given our governor's stringent restrictions thus far, we're confident that the restrictions in place at the time will allow for a safe celebration.
Update 6/22: In light of the weather forecast of record-breaking heat, we will be following the governor's guidelines and only requiring masks for non-vaccinated persons in most circumstances. Everyone will need to mask while getting food, as requested by our caterer. Non-vaccinated people must mask throughout the event unless actively eating or drinking. Anyone is of course welcome to wear a mask and distance themselves at any time, and we encourage mask wearing for all during the ceremony... we just don't want to require them and have people pass out from the extra heat. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation on this matter. It's so exciting that we're able to have such a celebration, even if masks are still in the picture!
Yes! If you are unable to attend in person for whatever reason, or if we were only able to extend you a virtual-only invitation, we will be offering a Zoom link where the ceremony will be live-streamed, courtesy of our videographer. When you go to RSVP, everyone will be able to respond to the virtual ceremony event. Those whose invitations have been opened to the in-person event will also be able to RSVP to that event as well. As both the in-person and virtual events will have capacity restrictions, please only RSVP to one of the events, and please don't circulate the Zoom link to those without invitations.
In an effort to manage the number of guests attending due to potential COVID restrictions, we are sending invitations out in phases. We will first be sending invites out to our wedding party, immediate family members, and local friends or relatives. Future phases include aunts & uncles, cousins, family friends, long-distance friends, etc. Depending on the number of RSVPs for the in-person event and the restrictions at the time, we might be able to offer some guests an invitation only to the virtual ceremony. If this is the case, the physical invitation that you receive will be the same, but when you go to RSVP on the website, it will only allow you to RSVP for the virtual event. Please understand that this has been tough! We want EVERYONE here! If you got a save-the-date and/or have made it to this page, we really do want to celebrate with you! We just might have to do it virtually to stay safe and hope to see you in person in the non-COVID future.
Please RSVP as soon as you make your decision! As we are sending out invitations in phases, this will really help us to decide to how many more people we might be able to offer an in-person RSVP. If you received your invitation before April, please RSVP by April 13 (Jen's birthday!). We know things could still change after that with COVID, but this will help us with our planning. If your plans change after this date, please update your RSVP as soon as possible. And if you received your invitation as part of a later phase, please just respond as soon as possible, but no later than May 15.
If your kids are listed on your RSVP, then yes. If they are not, then we're afraid we are unable to expand your invitation to include them at this time due to capacity restrictions. This includes infants, as they are counted as "full" people in terms of capacity restrictions. We thank you for your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.
Only if your invitation specifically states "<Your Name> and Guest". If this is the case, then when you go to RSVP, it will allow you to write in your guest's name. This will apply to very few people, as only single members of the wedding party were offered a guest on their invitations.
Please plan to arrive between 4 - 4:15pm to allow time to park, walk or be shuttled to the ceremony site, and get seated.
Yes! There is a sizeable parking area at the farm. It will be well-marked, and there will be an attendant helping to keep the parking orderly. There is also a golf cart shuttle that will drive you from the parking lot to the ceremony spot should you not desire to walk.
No, no smoking of any kind will be allowed at the event. Several people in the wedding party and our immediate families are very sensistive and allergic to smoke, and even the smoke that lingers on clothing can be overwhelming. Thank you for your understanding.
Not too fancy, not too casual. And not the comfy work-from-home attire we've all been wearing for almost a year now, unless you're attending the virtual ceremony ;-) . Please keep in mind that we will be outdoors, which could bring about a variety of weather conditions throughout the evening. Also, I would recommend leaving the pointy heels at home. The terrain is gravel, grass, and concrete, and we don't want anyone twisting an ankle!
Dinner will be a served buffet by Lombardi's, a local Italian restaurant and catering company. The menu will include: -Bacon-wrapped dates and vegetarian stuffed mushrooms during cocktail hour -Mixed green salad -Grilled salmon picatta -Chicken Marsala -Garlic butter fettuccine -Seasonal vegetables -House bread And cake, of course!
Yes, of course. There will be a "luxury portable restroom" trailer with two bathrooms inside. It's way fancier than a porta-potty, I promise. I don't believe it will be ADA-accessible, however, so please keep that in mind.
