FAQs

Question

Must I be vaccinated in order to attend your event?

Answer

Yes! We require that everyone attending our wedding be vaccinated and recommend that everyone have a booster shot as well. Additionally, it is a city-wide mandate that everyone be fully vaccinated (with proof of vaccination). Our website will continue to be updated as covid-related details change.

Question

What about masks?

Answer

As of April 18, 2022, Philadelphia is reinstating their mandatory mask policy for INDOOR public spaces. Our welcome party, ceremony, and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting). The Phillies game will be outdoors. The ceremony and brunch are PRIVATE events and all of whom are attending will be vaccinated. You are welcome to wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so at the private indoor portions of our weekend but are not required.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we adore your children (we truly do!) this wedding is a kids-free event. However, if your little ones would like to join us for the Phillies game, we'd love to see them there! Just let us know how many tickets you'll need!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation indicates "and Guest", then yes, please feel free to bring someone. If it does not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is there a shuttle to your wedding?

Answer

YES! A 14 passenger van from Ace Limousine will be at the Loews Hotel at 1PM to load up with the wedding party and will continue to do rounders to the venue. The LAST SHUTTLE will depart Loews Hotel at 3:15PM. Please note: there will NOT be a shuttle back to the hotel at the end of the event. We recommend Lyft for your ride back.

Question

Is there an after-party?

Answer

Our event will end at 9pm. We are are not opposed to an after-party, however are not planning anything at this time.

Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire please. For those of you wondering what that means, cocktail attire is the style of a “formal” dress code but without the hem length and color requirements (i.e. floor length hems and dark colors are not required and ball gowns are not appropriate). For those in suits and jackets, while “formal” means 3 piece suit or tux, “cocktail” means suit and tie or a nice sport jacket (tuxedos would not be appropriate). But - keep in mind the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass - so wear comfortable shoes! And the event will be indoor/outdoor so please check the weather and dress accordingly!

Question

Is there a dress code to the welcome party or farewell brunch?

Answer

Nope! The welcome party is in a beer garden at a family-owned pizza place on North Broad street. The brunch is at the Loews Hotel and hopefully you’re in PHILLIES gear for the brunch with plans to head straight to the ballgame with us!

Question

Food? Drinks? What can be expected?

Answer

The welcome party: all you can eat assorted pizzas, mozzarella sticks, fries and soft drinks will be served. (The only gluten free item on the menu is a salad and there will be a cheese-free vegan pizza.) Cash bar The wedding: open bar, lots of yummy food (all dietary needs will be met to the best of our caterer’s ability. Please answer the dietary preferences/allergy questions when you rsvp) The farewell brunch: a large assortment of breakfast foods and beverages (coffee, tea, fresh squeezed juices) with a few vegan and gluten free options. No alcohol.

Question

Can I take photos at your ceremony?

Answer

We would appreciate it if you would please refrain from taking any photo or video during the ceremony. We would love for our photographer to be able to capture the magical moments sans a sea of cellphone screens.

Question

Can I take photos at your reception?

Answer

ABSOLUTELY! And we hope that you will share them with us by using the hashtag #jenandjamie_finally or by emailing us at jenandjamie2020@gmail.com. PLEASE snap and share away! The one thing our photographer requests is that you refrain from FLASH photography at all times so as to not interfere with her lighting. Additionally - there will be no personal photography allowed during the coordinated group shots. We, along with our photographer truly appreciate your cooperation with this!

Question

Do I have to purchase my own tickets to the Phillies game?

Answer

NO! We have reserved a block of tickets for all of our guests. Your ticket will be sent to you electronically closer to the event at no cost to you!

Question

Is there a shuttle to the Phillies Game?

Answer

No. The subway is $5 round trip and your train ticket can be purchased via machine at the subway stop and we recommend purchasing a two-way ticket. Stadium parking is $25.

Question

Anything else I need to know about the game?

Answer

YES! The game NOW starts at 130P instead of 1P. Familiarize yourself with the NEW BAG POLICY. The ONLY bags allowed are diaper bags, plastic grocery bags (think a target bag or white take-out bag), small purses measuring 8x5x1, and Medical bags. (Backpacks, duffle bags, drawstring bags, camera bags, large purses, etc are NOT allowed)

Question

How do I get to the stadium from the Loews Hotel

Answer

Take the Septa Blue Line at 12th and Market to City hall Westbound and transfer to the Orange Line Southbound to the very last stop that used to just be called Pattison (as in the name of the street where it lets you off) which is now called something completely different for no apparent reason and that also makes no sense or has anything to do with the Phillies or the stadiums or the area... but it's called NRG or NGR or something. So don't think you're in the wrong place, cause you're not. Just follow the phillies phans...

Question

What if I can't make one of the wedding-related events?

Answer

That is absolutely fine! If you can attend the Welcome Party but not the Wedding or you won't be in town for the Welcome Party but will be at the Wedding and the Phillies game, that is 100% fine with us! Just let us know which events you will be able to make so that we can plan accordingly. We hope to see you at whatever part of this weekend you are able to do with us!

Question

PARKING for the Wedding?

Answer

The venue has partnered with two parking structures that are nearby. The first is Latimer Garage 1510 Latimer St offering a $1 off with validation and the second is Park America at The Academy House 251 South 15th Street offering a $10 flat rate with validation.
