Charlestown, Rhode Island is a beautiful, but rural area without public transportation, Ubers, taxis, etc. Shops, restaurants, bars, and beaches are in neighboring towns, so we recommend those traveling by plane rent a car to get around. Here is some info on the area: Quonochontaug aka “Quonnie” - where the Blooms live and where the wedding will be. A colonial beach community, with only a few restaurants/hotels. Misquamicut - Quonnie's adjacent beach town, with shops, hotels, bars and restaurants on the sand. 10 min. drive from the Blooms. Westerly - the largest neighboring city, with bars and restaurants, grocery stores, and services. 15 min. drive from the Blooms. Watch Hill - another beach town, with high end restaurants, hotels, and boutiques. 20 min. drive from the blooms. Below we've linked local airports, suggested Airbnb rentals, and hotel options. We know the area can be hard to navigate, so please reach out to us if you have questions, or want a recommendation!

Flight

Providence TF Green Airport

Providence TF Green is the closest airport to Charlestown, though it can be difficult to find direct flights. From here, it's a 40 minute drive to Charlestown and the surrounding area.

Boston (Logan) or New York (LaGuardia or JFK)

Guests who want a more direct flight can fly into Boston or New York and take the Amtrak train (1-2 hrs.) or drive (2 hrs.) to the Charlestown area.

Amtrak

Guests from Boston or New York can take the Amtrak to the Kingstown or Westerly train station. You will need to arrange a taxi or rental car from there.
