Getting There
Lake George is 3.5-4 hour drive north of NYC and just over an hour from Albany, so whatever permutation of plane/train/automobile works for you. All festivities for the weekend will be walking distance of the village, so if you can carpool just to get there and to finally escape you'll be all set!

This is also a hotel! Located at the southernmost tip of Lake George (but not on the lake)- the celebration will take place right nearby. It's not particularly kitschy or luxurious, but it's perfectly fine as far as conference center hotels based at French and Indian War military strongholds go.
