Where to stay?

The Northern Neck of Virginia is a scenic, historic peninsula between the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers fronting on the Chesapeake Bay. Weekends in the area book up fast. We’ve held the offerings below, unless otherwise noted. All are within 15 minutes of the wedding venue. We will be staying with our bridal party at The Cottages in Vineyard Grove in Irvington, near to Hope & Glory Inn, from Thursday night until Monday morning.

Call to book by June 30th and mention “Abbott wedding”. Recommended to check out the rooms on the website before calling. Boutique hotel with 12 rooms in nearby Irvington, close to The Cottages where we will be staying, roughly $300-$500 per night. 12 minutes drive to the wedding venue. After June 30th, any unbooked rooms will be released first come first serve to the public.

Wedding block under Abbott/Rabun, call to book by August 29, 2022. 10 minutes drive to the wedding venue.

We are staying in one of The Cottages at Vineyard Grove in Irvington along with our bridal party, which you may be able to find one up for grabs if you’re quick!

Richmond Intl Airport: RIC

This is the closest airport to White Stone, about 1 hr 15 min drive. If you plan to leave later on Monday, join us for the RVA Farewell!

Turo is a car sharing app, where you can often find decent cars being rented by their owners, some for half the price of a traditional rental car. Definitely worth checking out to save a little on your journey to celebrate with us!

Travel Note

Come prepared with your FREE Covid-19 tests

While our event will be outside, we do have some higher risk guests so we ask that everyone tests before our wedding and wear a mask while traveling and while in close quarters with others. Luckily the new Omicron booster should be available just in time and we highly recommend getting yours as soon as they are available.
