Jon met Elisa in July 2019 and invited her to a bar in East Village called Headless Horseman for drinks on a Friday evening. Both of them found the bar to be in a convenient location since Elisa lived in Gramercy and Jon in Union Square, so it was perfectly located in the middle (great planning Jon!). They had so much fun that they even walked to dinner in St. Marks after. You know it’s a good first date when you go to TWO locations and dedicate your Friday evening to someone you just met. After many more dates trying different restaurants in New York and exploring the city, Jon asked Elisa out on November 16, 2019 so the two officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. As they started their next chapter as an official couple, COVID hit and they escaped from the virus by staying in an Airbnb in Hoboken - because apparently COVID didn't travel to New Jersey :). Jon finished up dental residency in the summer of 2020 and the two decided to move back to California. Elisa grew up in Fremont and Jon in Piedmont so it made sense to move back west. In 2021, they moved to Modesto, CA where Elisa started her journey transitioning from a Manhattan city girl to become a farmer. They frequented Modesto's most popular spot: Sizzler's, and enjoyed dinner dates there. After six months, they relocated to Pleasanton where Jon started his dental practice. With Elisa working as the dental receptionist and Jon as the general dentist, the two spent their Saturdays grinding in the office, entering fee schedules, and making IG reels so Jon can become instafamous one day. As things became more steady with Jon’s career, he finally decided to pop the question in August 2023 after almost 4 years of dating. He planned the perfect weekend in Carmel and proposed on the beach. He then surprised Elisa with a weekend getaway at Alila Ventana in Big Sur where they ate endless chocolate chip cookies and seafood. As an engaged couple now, Elisa and Jon spend their weekends planning their future together. They can't wait to get married and invite you to join them in their celebrations!
