FAQs

Question

Where are you getting married?

Answer

We have rented an A-frame chalet on the Indian River in Grant-Valkaria (south Brevard County) called The Grant House. The address is 5185 US Highway 1, Grant-Valkaria, 32949. It is located right next door to The Old Fish House Grill.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a guest?

Answer

Unfortunately, we had to trim down our guest list due to the max capacity of the home we rented for our ceremony and reception. You are welcome to bring a guest if your invitation is written out to you and a guest/spouse.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your children, due to the capacity of our venue, we are unable to invite our family and friends' children. Please use our celebration as a night off to enjoy your own date night or adult time! Hire a babysitter and come dance with us.

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

The Grant House has limited parking. However, The Old Fish House restaurant next door has approved approximately 10 spots for use and there is also a boat ramp just south of the home you can use for parking. We will make sure to have signs up for available parking areas. * * You are welcome to use our Uber event voucher which will cover $25 worth of transportation to and from the ceremony/reception. See more details below.

Question

How can we get an Uber event voucher?

Answer

We will distribute a redemption link that you can use to obtain a $25 credit round trip to get you to our ceremony and back to a hotel (or other location) after the reception. Just let us know you need it! The redemption code will be valid from 4 pm to 11 pm on the day of our wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Because the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm, we would like everyone to be seated no later than 5:10 pm.

Question

Will food be provided?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour after the ceremony, while we're getting family photos. During that time you can help yourself to the appetizer platters and self-serve drink bar. For dinner, you will be enjoying a buffet-style pizza bar. All kinds of uniquely, delicious pizzas!

Question

Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing a few different selections of beer & wine. If you prefer to bring your favorite spirit and mixer, that is fine as well. *We will also have bottled water and tea available.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

As you all know, Florida is notorious for afternoon rain and storms. I would advise bringing a raincoat & umbrella for mild rain. If it storms, we will likely have to move everything inside...which may be a bit cramped considering the unique layout of the property!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are outdoors, so you may wear what will be comfortable to you during mid-March in Florida. We would advise checking the weather a few days before. We want you to be comfortable!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are fortunate enough to have a houseful of everything we need, so we created a small honeymoon registry. If you feel inclined to contribute, and please know it is not expected, you can view the registry tab at the top of this page.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would appreciate an RSVP by Saturday, February 23, 2019.

Question

Are there any hotel blocks available?

Answer

Because many of our guests are from the central Florida area and will likely be heading home after our reception, we didn't request a block of rooms. However, if you view the TRAVEL tab, you'll see the closest hotels to our venue that are available to book, if desired.

Question

Where are you getting married?

Answer
