The Wedding Website of Jeffrey Taylor and Nicola McQuiston
Please review the schedule page. For those who would like to join, we plan to organize one or two group activities on the Wednesday or Thursday leading up to the wedding weekend in Salzburg. Then we will transition to Maria Alm (1.5 hrs by car, 2.5 hrs by public transport) on Friday for the welcome event and the rest of the big weekend!

Hotel

Sepp

Urchen 8, Maria Alm, Salzburg 5761, Austria
 +43 6584 77 38

Please stay with us at the Sepp Hotel in Maria Alm! Booking information to follow later this year. We were able to exclusively reserve the entire hotel (Friday-Sunday, 2-night booking) as a place for our group to gather throughout the weekend. We will arrange overflow rooms as needed at the Eder Hotel, Sepp's sister hotel, also in Maria Alm, but the goal is to fill Sepp first!

Flight

Munich Airport

If you are flying from the US to Europe, you'll most likely find the cheapest flights into Munich Airport. The airport is about a 35 minute drive from the center of Munich, a 2 hr drive from downtown Salzburg, and a 2.5 hr train ride to Salzburg. It is a 2.5 hour drive to Maria Alm. If you choose to take the train, opt for the Bayern ticket, which can accommodate up to 5 passengers and is the most cost-effective method of public transport to get to Salzburg. Take the Munich S-Bahn to the München Ost station and switch over the the regional trains which run hourly roughly, noted by the abbreviation BRB, RE. Bayern ticket is not eligible on the ICE/EC trains, however they're only marginally faster.

Flight

Salzburg Airport

Salzburg does have an international airport and it is possible to fly directly to Salzburg. It is a 1 hr drive to Maria Alm.

Flight

Vienna Airport

Vienna Airport will perhaps be the second cheapest option to fly into. It is 3 hrs by car and 2.5 hours by train to Salzburg from Vienna. It is a 4 hr drive to Maria Alm. If traveling by train, it's probably easiest to Uber to Wien Westbanhof to take the Westbahn train, which can be booked online in advance. Tickets booked in advance hover around 40EUR depending on the time of day. Book at westbahn.at.

Travel Note

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRAVELERS

1. The Salzburger Festspiel, an international opera festival, takes place every July and August in Salzburg. For accommodation outside of the wedding weekend in Salzburg City, as well as rental cars being picked up in Salzburg, we recommend booking well in advance. Motel One has two locations in Salzburg and is a great, cost-effective hotel option. Other options include NH, Radisson Blu, or Blaue Ganz. 2. Austria has recently begun enforcing the need for international driver's licenses for car rentals. These can be obtained easily in the US from your local AAA office. 3. While Maria Alm is accessible via bus or a train/bus combo, the most efficient way to get there is to drive. It is approximately 1.5 hours from Salzburg by car, 2.5 by public transport.

Flight

Innsbruck Airport

Innsbruck has a smaller regional airport like Salzburg. It is a 2 hr drive to Maria Alm or 3.5 hours with public transport.
