We’re getting married!

We met while both working at TGIFridays™️ in 2004. It was as if lightning had struck the Town Center Mall, making the idea of fate difficult to argue. From the moment we first saw each other, we couldn’t stop smiling. We couldn’t stand being apart. Julia would go home and write in her diary about it (which she still has). She would drive me around the balmy roads of Boca and jam cds into her sticker covered Hyundai Accent and we would laugh until we both had to go home. The grass was green and the air was sweet; we were in love. I stopped working at Friday’s and our hangouts became less frequent, but she would visit me at my new job. Eventually, I moved back up north and we started to lose touch. But, I believe we had what Golden Earring described as “Radar Love”. We were always aware of each other, though we were apart and in different relationships. Years went by and I had been toiling in the kitchens of Philadelphia. I needed a break. I moved back to Florida and got a job selling wine at Whole Foods. Then came the moment that would seal our fate; on the Tuesday before thanksgiving of 2010, I was pouring tasters of a low end wine. I looked up mid-pour and locked eyes with my one and only Julia, who was in town from Chicago. The rest of the room went black and I froze. I spilled wine on the table, put down the bottle and hurried over to hug her. I never wanted her to leave. I wanted to run outside with her and hop into a car, drive to the ocean, hop into a boat and keep going; and that’s pretty much what happened. We rearranged our lives to be together. We have loved each other every single minute since. Four states of residence, countless road trips, millions of laughs and inside jokes, walks on the beaches, deserts and mountains, some bumps in the road and one cat later, we are going to say “I do”. I am so excited to have Julia as my wife and to be her husband. I love her more than anything and I’m happy to have you all with us in Michigan this summer.
