Wedding Party

Meet the important people in our life walking down the aisle with us! These people have been a big part of our relationship from the start.

Rayna Scruggs

Maid of Honor

"It’s RAY-NUH, not Renee...GET IT RIGHT!" Rayna and Jeff met in 6th grade and although things started off rocky, the two quickly became inseparable. It’s rare to see Jeff out without Rayna. They’ve been through middle, and high school, 2 Proms, college, and a 7-year stint as roommates taking Chicago in style. Rayna and Jeff have laughed their way through dark times and cried together during moments of Joy. It’s no surprise to anyone that Rayna would be standing right beside Jeff on this most important day.

Andrew Brown

Best Man

It all started the summer after high school graduation, a drunken fight over a 20-piece nugget and a large High-C brought Andrew and Jeff together. Although knives were thrown and pizza stones shattered, like Andrew and Jeff, the relationship was unharmed. Andrew and Jeff quickly became brothers. Whether crashing frat parties, jumping off roofs, or cross-country moves to Denver, Andrew and Jeff have always had each other’s backs. Andrew is the only person who can hold the title of Best Man.

Marcos Puente

Groomsman

Taking it back to 3rd grade, Marcos and Jeff were classmates in elementary school. Jeff invited Marcos to his 8th (…or 9th it was so long ago) birthday party; the rest is history. Since then, Marcos and Jeff would hang out almost every weekend until they left for college. Arcades, Movies, High School Football games, dances, and parties, you name it, and Marcos and Jeff were Pullin up. From crashing IU parties (in High School) to crashing dirt bikes, broken goosenecks, wood glue, and 3rd-degree burns, Marcos and Jeff were always up to something. There is no way Jeff could imagine this most important day without Marcos.

Erica Crowe

Groomswoman

McNutt-Dejoya 2 started it all. Erica met Jeff when she moved into McNutt dorm. Erica moved in late, and Jeff was floor president and in everyone’s face. Erica and Jeff hit it off right away, always grabbing lunch between classes, and taking long late-night walks to the HooDen. Erica and Jeff were both in Informatics and spent time studying as well as partying. Erica has been a ride-or-die for Jeff and has always kept it real. Laughing so hard from Love After Lockup that we cry or falling asleep on her floor with Nicki screaming on Queen Radio. Erica has always shown up and showed out for Jeff, so it’s a must that she’s standing with him.

Chelsea Jackson-Greene

Groomswoman

The summer before high school, Chelsea and Jeff met through Center for Leadership Development classes. Jeff was always talking in class, and Chelsea always had Jeff laughing. Fast forward to Junior year, Chelsea and Jeff ended up at North Central together. They had AP US History together and spent more time socializing than studying. Chelsea has always been an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on for Jeff. From clubbing in Chicago to birthday cabin trips, Jeff knows that Chelsea has his back.

Camille Vann

Groomswoman

Camille danced into Jeff’s life at one of John’s work parties and they clicked instantly. She started off as John’s bestie but quickly became fam. Camille is the life of the party and can make any situation so much fun. From spontaneous roadtrips to cliff diving Camille and Jeff are always up to something. Camille always checks in on Jeff, and drags him out the house when he’s in a mood. She has the biggest heart and an even bigger smile. Camille is the baddie that Jeff aspires to be, the wedding wouldn’t be the same without her beautiful energy blessing the crew.

Jennifer Jones

Groomswoman

Technically it was already going for Jennifer, but it all started when Jeff was born. (Too far back….got it) Jennifer is Jeff’s older sister, and well his only sister. Jennifer helped raise Jeff, from Go Dog Go, lemonade stands, fighting bullies, college applications, to wedding planning, Jeff wouldn’t be the person he is today without her. Jennifer took the first footsteps, creating the path for Jeff to follow. Jennifer didn’t have a choice; she was always going to be here showing Jeff what to do.

Jason Jones

Groomsman

Jason is Jeff’s brother-in-law and Jennifer’s husband. Jason, with his calm and cool demeanor, shook Jeff’s family up when he swept his sister off her feet and proposed. Jason has quickly become a part of Jeff’s family. Family is above all most important to Jeff so he couldn’t have his wedding day without his brother beside him.

Katy Greer

Maid of Honor

Katy and John met during their time together at the University of Michigan. Katy has always been there to make John feel supported and heard. They love to dance, study, gossip, and laugh together. Katy and John are basically birthday twins (April 9th and April 10th), which makes them twins in every other aspect as well. She has supported John through all of the different phases of his life, and John would not be the person he is today without Katy. She is the sister everybody would want, and the friend that everybody deserves. We don't know a better person!

Rachel Sullivan

Groomswoman

Rachel and John have known each other since the middle school days. Rachel was John's homecoming date back in sophomore year of high school! After leaving Port Huron for the University of Michigan, they ended up becoming roommates for 3 years of their college experience. Rachel and John always have the most fun together, and are undisputed beer pong champions and dancing queens (when they want to be). Rachel and John are like the Beyonce and Nicki Minaj of the midwest.

Rachael Ankley

Groomswoman

Rachael is John's longest friend - they were neighbors on State Road for years during their childhood. They have eaten at every possible Asian restaurant in Port Huron as part of Team Rajaja. Rachael and John went to the University of Michigan together, and were roommates for 3 years of their college experience. Rachael knows how to make John laugh harder than most, and have deep conversations about life.

Riley Paulus

Groomsman

Riley, also known as King Julian, is one of the core members of The Boys. John has known Riley since 3rd grade. They have played many sports together, and have spent lots of time at Michigan Football games. Riley and John got to live with each other for a quick stint right out of college, and John relied on Riley's friendship during his time living in Midland.

Jimmy Gillett

Groomsman

Jimmy, also known as Jimmy Gillett and his TV set, is one of the core members of The Boys. Jimmy and John became connected through a mutual friend, when Jimmy thought John was one of the "bad kids". Jimmy and John have the deepest of conversations about work and life. Jimmy is a stand-up guy who John can count on no matter what.

Thomas Rothenhauser

Groomsman

Thomas, aka Big Tom, is one of the core members of The Boys. Thomas and John met in high school through a few mutual friends. Thomas has always been a loyal friend to John. Thomas knows how to light up a room through his humor and big personality. John and Thomas always have the best of times when they get together.

Sarah VanderHeuvel

Groomswoman

Sarah is the oldest of John's 4 younger siblings. From the day they knew each other, John and Sarah have been the best of friends. Sarah and John have pushed each other to be the best versions of themselves through their competitive natures. John can always count on Sarah to back him up, while also making him laugh at the silliest things.

Anna VanderHeuvel

Groomswoman

Anna is the 2nd oldest of John's 4 younger siblings. Anna and John always have the spiciest conversations, whether it about people they know in real life or the people they see on TV. Anna is someone John can confide in, and will give John her honest opinion on an issue. Anna has taught John to be more confident and not to be afraid to tell it like it is!

Tessa VanderHeuvel

Groomswoman

Tessa is the 2nd youngest of John's 4 younger siblings. Tessa and John are very similar in their thought process, their humor, and their care for others. Tessa always knows how to make John and his entire family laugh, and knows how to get them to talk about deep topics. John can count on Tessa (as well as Sarah and Anna) to indulge him in his Nicki Minaj obsession.

Luke VanderHeuvel

Groomsman

Luke is the youngest of John's 4 younger siblings. Luke finally gave John the gift of having a younger brother. John can count on Luke to talk everything sports and video games (mostly Pokemon), and someone to confide in when his sisters are being weird. Luke is the most factual of John's siblings - John wish he was half as smart as Luke!

Maddie Neaton

Groomswoman

If Jeffery and John had never met, John and Maddie had a contract to adopt children together at the age of 35! All jokes aside, John has known Maddie since elementary school, and they have been inseparable ever since. From mixed doubles on the tennis court, to beach days in the summertime, Maddie always makes John laugh and mellows out his fiery personality. John and Maddie now get to make new adventures (or video game nights in) in Chicago!

Keegan & Kaylee Richardson

Ring Bearer & Flower Girl

Keegan and Kaylee are Jeff's niece and nephew, Jennifer's kids. Keegan, the oldest, is the coolest, and smartest kid that Jeff's ever met! Keegan loves sports, and video games, and is currently teaching himself Chess. Kaylee, the youngest, is the sweetest and most adorable little girl. She loves playing with makeup and dolls. She's just as smart as her brother and has a firecracker personality. We always say she's 7 going on 17. Jeff loves them both very much!
