FAQs

Question

Can I bring my whole family?

Answer

While we would love to be able to celebrate with EVERYONE, we have had to scale down our wedding due to the venue change. It is indicated on your RSVP how many seats have been reserved for you and your household.

Question

I'm single, can I bring a guest?

Answer

It is indicated on your invitation how many seats have been reserved for you and your household. If you are a single person, but 2 has been written on your invitation, you have been given a plus-one to bring a guest at our wedding.

Question

I got a Save the Date, am I still invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to COVID, we had to make some changes to our wedding. Since our new event will be a smaller, backyard affair, we cannot have as many guests as originally planned. You may receive an invite to attend our wedding ceremony virtually, and we hope you are understanding during this difficult time.

Question

Why did you switch venues?

Answer

Due to COVID, our original venue, the iHotel, was not hosting indoor events. We wanted to keep our date so an outdoor wedding was the best option. We look forward to celebrating with all our loved ones, virtually and in-person!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

The bottom portion of your invitation is the RSVP. You tear that off and can mail it like a postcard. On the line that begins with "M", you write the names of the guests attending. Be sure to check accepts or declines. You may also RSVP on this website through the RSVP tab.

Question

I have a question about the wedding but don't want to bother the couple- who can I reach out to?

Answer

Wedding Coordinator- Nikita Knight (217-621-6133) Maid of Honor- Karlie Jeffers (217-853-6724) Matron of Honor- Katie Benjamin (630-618-0731) Mother of Bride- Jeri Jeffers (217-433-3742) Mother of Groom- Connie Zelhart (815-351-7010)

Question

Can I cancel my reservation at the iHotel?

Answer

Yes! You can cancel your reservation for free up to 24 hours.

Question

How will I get to and from the house and hotel?

Answer

We have arranged a shuttle service that can bring guests back and forth from the house and the hotel. It will be running from 3:00-11:30.

Question

I don't feel comfortable attending because of COVID- how can I be included?

Answer

We are going to be offering an online option of watching our wedding ceremony. It will be shown via Facebook Live from Kara and Paul’s Facebook accounts. Stay tuned for more details!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon and have a couple cash funds on Zola. You can find links to these under the Registry tab.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please reach out to the bride or one of the other wedding contacts to let them know of your food allergy and we will make accommodations for you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We would like people to arrive no earlier than 1 hour before the ceremony start time, so please do not arrive earlier than 3:00pm. There will be light refreshments available prior to the ceremony.

For all the days along the way
