The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
We hope for a beautiful sunny fall day that’s not too hot; but of course it’s British Columbia and the weather could be anywhere from sunny and hot to rainy and chilly. It is best to check the weather forecast closer to the date to ensure you are dressed for the weather. If you are travelling from out of town, we recommend that you look at The Weather Network the week prior to travelling.
The ceremony is scheduled to be outside on the terrace; however, if it rains we do have a Plan B. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors with access to the patio for those that would like to get some fresh air.
We love your kiddos, but our wedding is going to be an adults-only bash. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving your little ones at home so you can celebrate with us.
The ceremony will be approximately 30 minutes. After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for 30-60 minutes. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during cocktail hour.
Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.
As much as we would love to host the bar, our budget is a bit tight. We will be providing a cocktail during the cocktail hour, and wine and beer at dinner. If you would like something else or extra, please bring cash or a credit card with you.
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.
Tsawwassen Springs has an underground parking garage that is available and free for all wedding guests. You can leave your car overnight if you wish to have a few drinks. Cars need to be picked up within 48 hours following the event.
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
Unfortunately, we do not have a set of hotel rooms blocked for guests; however, there are a number of hotels listed on the website under the travel tab. There are multiple hotels and motels in neighbouring cities (i.e., Surrey and Richmond); if you choose to stay there, it is approximately 30 minutes to the venue from Richmond/Surrey.
Yes, the food's going be awesome, and there'll be plenty of drinks. During cocktail hour, expect some tasty finger foods and a fun spiked cocktail. The bar will be available if you would like to purchase something else or extra. A buffet dinner will begin around 6-6:30pm with lots of choices. Red and white wine will be served as well. If you're in the mood for something else, head to the bar!
We don’t have a gift registry as we already have two of everything and are looking to lighten our load. We’re super excited to celebrate with everyone and feel so lucky to have such amazing family and friends! If you wish to give us a gift, we would be thrilled if you contributed to our honeymoon fund.
