A great budget option, this new(er) Best Western is located near our house and downtown. From Downtown Berkeley Bart, take the 51B bus West toward Berkeley Amtrak Station. Do the reverse if you are coming from Berkeley Amtrak. This hotel is located on a busy street.

Airbnb is a great option in Berkeley. Some Airbnb's are cheaper than hotels and very close to our house (walking distance!).

Bart from Oakland International Airport- Orange Line
Take the Orange Line toward Richmond from Oakland International Airport to the Downtown Berkeley Bart Station.

Bart from SFO International Airport
Get on Bart from SFO Airport and take either the Red Line toward Richmond, or the Yellow Line toward Pittsburg/Bay Point and transfer at MacArthur Station to get on the Orange Line toward Richmond. Get off at Downtown Berkeley Station.

AC Transit is our bus system in Berkeley. If you're coming from the Berkeley Amtrak Station, take the 51B East to get to UC Berkeley Campus. It drives along University Avenue, takes a right on Shattuck, then goes up (East) Durant.
